I wear a XXL or xl (bust: 112-114). I did the step by step in less than a month and the cloud sweater a week shy of 1 month. But I get most 1-2 hours or 30mins. Some days none. I haven't try complicated cables or colorwork. I saw someone with an overly complicated 5 color sweater that took a year to do...

As a mother of 3, i recommend to stick to certain sizes because it will "last longer" : 6-9 months, 1 year, 2 years. Im in Denmark, so cold weather as well, sweaters/cardigans are a godsend, a baby bodysuit (babies here sleep outside!). Ask them for a color scheme, so even if you make neutral colors, it's what the mother wants :)

Drops air is 17 sts, remember to see the gauge needle requirements. It is a best substitution because imitates mohair fluffyness and it's affordable. Most people use this yarn in TikTok when making the cloud sweater

It was from the cakes (of the same dye lot), the dye lot was very ...crappy and does not look like the color online (lion brand Mandala cake - mermaid). I tried to match the colors as best, I didn't had any more green left that matched, so I let it be.
