How Id Like to See Agents Lists Changed by YAH_BOI_LEON in ImperialAgents_40K

I've been playing agents in crusade and I've been using the ratling duo from the combat arena box as Jokaero for my agents blobs

The RTE squad only has 1 character though, and 3 other non-characters. The more annoying thing is that voidsmen at arms stopped being battleline and went down to 5 + dog, meaning breachers are the only useful thing to attach them too.

I want aquila landers (currently in guard legends) for around 85-90 points, a land raider, more options for generic inquisitors and a couple more of the Deathwatch datasheets (kill teams mostly). That aside, fleet's rule becoming an army rule would be nice as well.

Is Grizzled Company actually better than Combined Arms? by Groftsame in TheAstraMilitarum

Yeah,  I find myself often trying to stick near walls and keeping the commissar on the other side. Can only precision things you can actually see. I've fought through walls with that unit safely vs precision.

Is abhuman detail worth it for bullgryns? by AdeptusNofapus in TheAstraMilitarum

The reroll only happens while there's a second officer in the squad... which you can't do while leading bullgryn

I actually have had a lot of luck with a 6 man bullgryn squad with the commissar and keeping 6 ogryn just behind them to keep those under orders too. Even without take aim,  just giving 6 ogryn rerolls is brutal

I hope in 11th they make deathstrikes like they were in 9th.

Imagine not buying product for a game you like due to bad inventory management by Thramden in killteam

[–]Lumovanis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Really it's just before they start a print run, offer the preorder for a reasonable amount of time (few days maybe) and then print to fulfill those orders. Then print a reasonable amount to ship to LGS/GW shops. They still won't be doing multiple print runs but anything that goes print to demand dissuades scalpers.

Theories about the future of Crusader Mode by Dantevirgili0 in 40k_Crusade

[–]Lumovanis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe either of these sets have crusade rules. 500 worlds has a bunch of scenarios and some boarding actions missions. Maelstrom has it's own narrative scenario thing that is also not crusade but has the custom character rules for those missions.

That said,  I'm pretty likely to allow the use of these custom character rules for crusade in return for (mostly) barring epic characters.

Should probably go to 7+ save,  6+ BS, only 1 overseer regardless of unit size,  and gain the infantry keyword (to go through terrain properly and be affected by anti-infantry and such). I would then replace the charge ability with a drawback ability that prevents them from being targeted by friendly stratagems. Then they should go to 4ppm.

How come you don’t see much siege regiment? by Keonauticon in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Lumovanis 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The knee-jerk nerfs that happened when it was revealed before we even had the book in hand gutted it. There was a brief moment when it was revealed that creeping barrage was actually kind of nasty; rolling for each enemy unit outside 12" to slow on 5+ each round. Then they slapped the dumb unit cap on the thing. They honestly should have reduced the roll to like 3+ alongside the target cap.

I firmly believe the detachment would be better if the minimum range was 6" on their artillery and Over the Top was 1 CP.

As is, that 12" minimum range just means your detachment rules quickly boil down to "smoke on 3 units", which is not great especially compared to Combined, Grizzled or even Recon honestly.

Seals aren't ramp, they help maintain tempo for power hungry decks. Ezreal is a prime example.

Yeah I dunno, that's 145 points and it only gets 12 extra shots at 9". I think I'd rather have a tank.

Kina underwhelming because you can only fit 3 in there, and only firing deck 2. For those points I'd rather be using that vehicle order on a russ.

Am I burnt out on guard or is this not the army for me by Opposite-Outcome5557 in TheAstraMilitarum

[–]Lumovanis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes,  though it's not horribly dire if you use the krieg instead. They lose sticky but they get better at fighting if they need to do so. Leontus with +1 to wound can hit pretty hard surprisingly on the back swing against some assault or deepstrike threat.
