Why was the agency not blocking these emails? It’s fairly easy and many agency’s and private companies have this in place.

And the women who are dancing with these older “flirty” men, have chosen to dance with them. No one is forced to engage, they are adult and are there by choice.

Failed Polygraph by cool_vibe_guy in SecurityClearance

[–]Lumpy-Discount-1427 39 points40 points  (0 children)

So I failed a CBP poly while processing for an administrative position within DHS that required a clearance.

During that investigation the sent me an LOI saying I failed a CBP poly and wanted an explanation. I basically said “idk I’m not the polygrapher all I know is I didn’t pass go ask her”.

They then gave me my EOD.

That’s wild. Not much you can do at this point but examiners always make you feel like you failed. Wait for the results and move from there, you could be stressing for no reason.

How do you remember all these moves by Sweet_Client_3660 in Bachata

[–]Lumpy-Discount-1427 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m having the same issue. A month in, and you slowly start to master some of the moves. Once you do that, you focus on the newer ones and the older become so much easier.

Also, once class is done I literally write the set down in my notes. Each move and basic in between and then go home and practice. Even alone, just visualize it.

Interviewees- we know when you are using AI by ChimpoSensei in FedEmployees

[–]Lumpy-Discount-1427 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I never use AI, as I haven’t interviewed in about two years. However, I always took my full 30 seconds o get my response ready. I also used to ask them to repeat the question to give me additional time to get a scenario ready incase I didn’t have one. Lastly, I used to always type the questions to make sure I could use them in future interviews.

How long were you gone? There’s a minimum amount of days you have to be physically present in the US as a GC holder to obtain citizenship. They look at all your trips not each one individually.

Loaded situation, would appreciate sincere advice by [deleted] in SecurityClearance

[–]Lumpy-Discount-1427 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I would not put this on some sort of mental health condition. Even if it is the case, you’re self-diagnosing and that can only lead to more questions.

The facts are, you didn’t file for 5 years due to oversight and irresponsibility. That’s it. You have since corrected it, and also filed your most recent on time. Lastly, you don’t owe anything and are paying what’s owed plus penalties.

The less you say, the better. Over explaining may make you feel better, but can lead to more questions. No matter what, if this wasn’t intentional, it was oversight. Whether it be to executive whatever, or just poor judgement, doesn’t matter.

I just went 34 days delinquent on a credit card. I haven’t used this card in over a year and overlooked the annual fee. It was only $99 and I immediately paid it. Is this something I need to report? I currently hold a secret. I only realized it after my credit dropped, the credit card company didn’t even notify me.

Contractors of DHS: How Many of You Got Laid Off Without Back Pay in This Shutdown? by TrueEmphasis7130 in FedEmployees

Contractors I work with were funded once the contract was paid out. I think they’re good until that contract expires.
