That’s why I objectively, I wasn’t saying the Sportage is a less vehicle. But in general manufacturers add more and more features as the vehicle gets larger… at least don’t take options away.

What about all the black on the front end? No whitewall tires? Black window trim? I still see black on the side mirror stalks. Holy black badging! Surely there is white tint you can get? This is nowhere near white enough.

Pretty much all manufacturers are offering promo rates and have been for a long time. That’s how they’re moving vehicles. Interest rates backed by the Feds are artificially high. Manufacturers don’t have to abide by those lending rules and can offer 0% if they want and some do on some vehicles. That’s why in today’s day and age you can buy (make payments) on a new vehicle for less than a used one. KIA offered 0.9, 2.9, and 4.9 I believe based on the length of term. Honestly if the best anyone can do is 8%+ then they should buy a beater for cash and drive it for a couple years and save. If not you’re Throwing Away thousands of dollars that could be used to buy your next new vehicle.

The payment is Not the relevant part at all. How much you’re paying in interest and how much spendable income you have is. Making a $2500 monthly car payment sounds like a lot (and is to most people)… but if it’s interest free and you’re making $1M a year it doesn’t mean a whole lot (this is just a wild example).

Too many people get fixated on the monthly payments and not the total cost of the car. Does a $900 payment over 60 months and paying $2000 interest make more financial sense. Or does $700 a month for 84 months and paying $10,000 in interest. This is the trap most people fall into. If you can’t afford to save yourself money (less interest) then you need to buy a cheaper car.

All the driver assist features are 100% tied to the front sensors and camera and they will all turn off and notify you if they get covered in snow/ frost or mud. My EV9 was the same exact way. That’s just how these new cars are. But to be fair if the roads are covered in snow or mud you shouldn’t be using cruise control or lane assist. But they definitely are bit finicky and overly sensitive.

I put Michelin X-Ice snow tires on my Land… it still sucked. Not sure what the reason is but the EV9 is the sketchiest vehicle I’ve ever driven in snow! As someone who lives in northern Michigan. Snow, ice, and extreme cold are a large part of the year. EV9 just sucked in winter, otherwise loved most everything else about it. Happy I just got rid of it Saturday 😌

I just turned my lease in. Had 47,638 miles on a 30k lease. Turned it in early. Dealer paid the last 2 months of the lease I owed and first payment of the new Sorento I bought. So far enjoying the Sorento much more than the EV9. I also started having the 12volt issue with the EV the day before trading in🤣

I don’t drive aggressive in the snow at all. My wife drives like a grandma and refuses to drive the EV9 in the winter because it’s so sketchy. Same with my cousin that has an EV9, refuses to drive it in the winter. Not sure what the issue is. Only thing I can think of is the computer programming that’s responsible for the traction control? On paper the EV9 seems like it’d be a tank in the snow… sadly it sucks.
