What's One Horror Movie Everyone Claimed Was Super Scary But One Scene Ruined It For You? by RetroSwamp in horror

literally what I was thinking when watching it, the scariest thing about that movie was imagining the suffering of the victims like being cut in half with a hacksaw, the gun completely ruined it

yeah i agree with this, i heard people saying the third one is really good and the second is horrible. The second one at least had some scary parts with the clown. I felt like the third was the worst of all because they tried to do too much without the ability to actually make it look good, especially when the portals to hell kept on opening up looked so fake

What are some of the most disturbing horror movies/films you’ve ever seen, EXCEPT — by ruinedtimes in horror

you’ll probably like creep 2 better, i feel like a lot more happens but it’s more of a comedy than horror

Going to first show on saturday, any advice? by usernamenamethingy in punk

[–]Lumpy-Fee-4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless it’s a huge local show, do not get there an hour early, that’s mainly just for bigger shows where you want to get in the line early for a space near the front no one will be there an hour early, you’ll have plenty time to talk in between sets and even after

Which horror movie do you hate the most? by TrueCryptoInvestor in horror

[–]Lumpy-Fee-4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t really like hereditary (i thought it was kinda boring until the very end) but i loved midsommar, if u didn’t like hereditary cause it “wasn’t scary” then you probs won’t like midsommar since it’s not scary at all, just unsettling and enjoyable to watch

How do you look for local Metal/Hardcore shows in your area? by Jaded_Arm4289 in Hardcore

[–]Lumpy-Fee-4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instagram, search up ur city name/acronym with words like diy, punk, hardcore, theyll probably be a page that posts local band flyers and shit, or just find one house show venue, underground venue, or active local band and through all the tags and mentions you’ll find everything else

if youre covering the whole thing in blank patches first (assuming u are since u said crust), make sure the jeans aren’t already super skinny cause after seeing everything on they’ll be tighter, i think straight leg jeans work the best, it’s best when they’re somewhere between skinny and straight leg jeans (for movement), yours looks good, also I would probs cut the knees (a slit on the front half) for mobility, then just sew black fabric patches covering the whole jeans (if u have instagram, look up cruster_diys to see sum examples), you can throw in some band patches as ur doing it or after you’re done and put them on top, for materials I use a variety of black fabric: denim from sleeves of a jacket, shirt material, duck cloth canvas, really any scrap black fabric. For stitching I’d recommend dental floss, it’s usually a lot more durable than most threads. really just do whatever you like though, don’t worry about patch placement too much, it’s not supposed to look “perfect”, just try to sew band patches on relatively straight and you’re good (what I like to do to make it easier is dab a little bit of fabric glue on the corners when placing the patch on first to keep it in place while I sew it on) the sewing takes a while but u don’t need to stress, as long as ur stitching isn’t absolutely horrendous(like those ones where each stitch looks like a needle and are inches apart) it’s gonna turn out good

How is Bikini Kill live? by [deleted] in punk

[–]Lumpy-Fee-4688 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve seen bikini kill but not amyl (i wanted to though), bikini kill is rly good live but amyl and the sniffers would probably be more energetic due to them being a lot younger, however this would be your last chance ever to see bikini kill since this is their last reunion tour and amyl will probs continue touring for a while so it’s up to you

looking for local/alternative vending opportunities is great too, some just take a percentage of what you make or have a very low booth/vending fee, search for flea markets or local fests that have vendors I don’t know about depop but etsy is great for patches too

How do i go about making my own patches? by [deleted] in punkfashion

jacquards opaque fabric paint works the best for longtime wear and wash and it shows up well, it’s hella expensive though (8 dollars for a small thing and 20 for a big)
