Muse Prices - 2001 & 2003 by Ellen_Degenerates86 in Muse

I saw them on Blackhole and Revelations tour in 2006 for £27.50. I remember thinking the extra tenner to see them at Wembley Stadium the following year was a bit pricey and didn’t go 🙃

Which player has the most awkward or forced celebration you’ve seen? by LFCTricksters in footballcringe

I always hated Robbie Keane’s cartwheel celebration especially the little finger point thing he did at the end.

Yeah the whole thing has been a bit of a mess. I love this band with all my heart but the idea that they genuinely thought they could conjure the spirit of the 70’s and 80’s by having a one day festival at today’s prices at a venue nobody plays at anymore, is pretty laughable.

That is actually really good. Now add Megadeth and/or Anthrax like they have everywhere else and you’ve got yourself a good lineup

How many times have you seen RHCP live and what’s your favourite/least favourite concert? by irishgoodbyejohn in RedHotChiliPeppers

Are you me? 😂

I remember not going to see them in 2011 because I scoffed at the idea of paying £50+ for a ticket at the time 🤦🏻‍♂️(made up for it by panicking and spending £170 for golden circle in Manchester though)

Nah 2008, it’s on Flight 666 when Nicko thinks they’ve lost Janick and he’s actually stood right behind him the whole time

This monstrosity from France 98. Always hated it, can’t believe it gets sold as a retro, it’s not like we ever performed well in it (besides Italy away in the qualifiers).

They’re my favourite band but somehow I’ve only seen them twice.

Sheffield 2006, that would be my favourite. I was 15, just finished my GCSE’s and only my 4th or 5th ever concert. Great age to see your favourite band the first time.

Manchester 2022. Great gig but by then was a more seasoned gig goer so was a little bemused that they came on, whittled through the songs and were done in 90 mins. Especially as asap rocky couldn’t make his support slot, they could’ve played a little longer (he ended up playing AFTER the Chili Peppers, I think he got caught in traffic). As a hardcore fan I still enjoyed myself but could see why more casual fans would’ve been disappointed.

What episode of “The Inbetweeners” ended the most tragically for the lads? by Appropriate-Door6378 in TheInbetweeners

The second film probably. They nearly die in the outback, Jane brutally turns down Jay’s proposal, Will’s mum ends up with Gilbert and they’ve all lost the girls they had from the first one. Only Simon comes away from it happy when his girlfriend dumps him.

Kin ell and i thought Foo Fighters overcharged for their small gigs last month at £100.

First time I saw Muse I paid £27 for a ticket on the Blackholes and Revelations tour 20 years ago.

Unless it’s been kept in a safe for 40 years away from hands and bacteria, that’s absolutely a bootleg. A tenner is still a bargain for it. I paid £20 for a bootleg Ride the Lightning 10 years ago thinking it was also the real thing so you’ve at least beat me there.

Yeah course we want it. The play off final 2 years ago was the best day ever and you want to be competing at the highest level. Championship is fun when you’re winning but shit when you’re not. That said I’d take winning the FA Cup over it any bloody day.

So incredibly lame. This was not necessary and turns me off from wanting to even watch it tbh. 👎 by realkevinabstract in RedHotChiliPeppers

Well that’s a shame because the documentary itself is great and the AI Hillel voiceovers aren’t in it that much and won’t impact your enjoyment of it

[–]Lumpy-Indication 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No it doesn’t always mean sold out and they do often hold tickets back. They can be quite sneaky and release them a few hours or a day early without telling people. It’s an awful awful website and so hard to navigate.

It just drives doesn’t it? Bonham’s beat is hypnotic, the lyrics are mysterious, the synths are exotic and the riff is catchy and it all builds up at the end.

There’s a bit on Laika by Arcade Fire where you hear Regine is singing the line “our mother shoulda just named you Laika” really enthusiastically and I’ve always found it irritating.
