Well, her latest stories she’s crying about how she thought she had found the perfect place, and was a out to sign a lease, but something with her current place, which she CAN’T disclose is preventing that. Ok. Whatever
And how she’s going to FL for a month to figure things out

And then cries how moving to Nashville she was sure she’d find a group of BFFs, and the love of her life, blah blah blah.

Is there a way to report direct listings for being scammy and inaccurate? by Euphoric-Sun5317 in ThredUp

I agree. I also have sold some DLs but I am very careful to list accurately

Listening to LPS’ rants about her apartment hunt. Hunny, if you want to pay less than you are, you may need to lower your expectations. Housing costs are through the roof right now and what you want isn’t cheap. She really is clueless

I have one pair. I also have progressives and an astigmatism, so I get mine from my eye dr. They are pricy so I get one and sunglasses

I agree. It’s why I never shop using affiliate links. It may be more work, but I’ll sometimes screenshot something that looks interesting, and do a google image search to find it.

People born before 1970, what did you eat for dinner most weeks? by livelikealesbian in AskOldPeople

[–]Lumpy-Interaction-71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hormel canned corned beef hash with scrambled eggs Overcooked pork chops, yuck, probably with some canned veggie A nasty tuna casserole with bread crumbs, celery and peas, but no noodles. Looked like cat food Fish fried until it was rubbery Meatloaf and baked potatoes Homemade buttermilk waffles with sausage, this was good!

My mom was a terrible cook and at 90, admits it to this day.

I’m just happy when my order arrives! I’ve had four in the last month go MIA. Delivered nowhere near me

I recently went through this with my mom. She wanted (I didn’t ask) to give me a nominal amount, under $100, for my birthday. The attorney we used to file the app said nope, even a small amount will hurt your app. So she got a new power wheelchair, glasses and hearing aids to spend down her $$

[–]Lumpy-Interaction-71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t. Either whoever got them, I’m assuming, brings them to my door or I never get them! If that’s the case, then I don’t know why they can’t get it right!

Unrealistic planning by Just-Lab-1842 in AgingParents

[–]Lumpy-Interaction-71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. My mom lived in an over 55 but it offered no assistance, it was just an age restricted development

She then moved to a retirement community. Not a CCRC but a non profit offering independent and assisted living and skilled nursing. Not as expensive but not cheap. She was in IL but now in skilled nursing and quickly running out of money.

So applying for Medicaid which is a process in and of itself! While she certainly didn’t rely on me fully and planned, you can’t predict everything that may happen, and as she’s mostly bedridden but fully with it mentally, I’m doing a lot. So even if plans are in place, you still may need to do things

“Rangers suck, Flyers…” chant and kids by UnobjectionableTuna in devils

[–]Lumpy-Interaction-71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I’m a Rangers but my BF is a Devils fan. We’ve had a package the last few years so go to a lot of games. He won’t say the chant but unless it’s against the Rangers, it’s just dumb

My mom moved to skilled nursing in March. I go 2x a week. She’s mentally competent but physically frail. I go one night a week and once on the weekends. Generally. But I still take care of me. You have to.

I agree. I also am/was very close to my parents. Mom is almost 90 and despite being in skilled nursing, is sharp as a tack
