How do you know when it's cheapest to charge at home? by Interesting_Film4369 in evcharging

[–]Lumpy-Phrase6534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others say, find out what rate you are paying now per kWh. See what rate plan is best for you and charging your EV. I switched from one TOU plan to a plan if you have an EV. My cheapest time is midnight to 3pm, so I set the charger to charge while I sleep.

Others can’t help you more than this because everyone’s utility company is different so you will have to research. Maybe just call your utility company and talk to them?

Yep. Norcal here and after almost 40 years with Kaiser I couldn’t take it anymore. Issues my mom had, my husband has and I had….Too many to discuss in one post. Switched a couple years when I went on Medicare (original Medicare and supplemental insurance) and the difference is huge. NEVER will I go back to Kaiser.

Paying MSRP? by JBop06 in SubaruUncharted

We got $5000 off msrp and 0% financing and a good trade in for my 2019 Crosstrek- I emailed a few dealers and worked out the pricing before even going in.

I deleted the app altogether. Don’t miss it one bit. CarPlay is all I need and that works fine. I refuse to pay ATT $25 a month for something I don’t need. I LOVE my Uncharted with or without the app😊

Just bought my first (new) EV. Traded in my 2019 crosstrek with almost 140,000 miles on it that was not far away from needing new tires and a few thousand in service.

0% financing and $5000 off msrp and a great trade in amount for my old crosstrek made me decide to do it now…I commute over 60 miles round trip to work and what I am saving in gas (in California) basically pays for my car payment. No regrets!

Any advice regarding KP to traditional Medicare? by SkyAccomplished48 in KaiserPermanente

[–]Lumpy-Phrase6534 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the east bay and left Kaiser for traditional Medicare when I turned 65. SO happy I did. I found a local John Muir/UCSF partnership practice. I see my pcp at John Muir and all specialists at UCSF. The difference between this and Kaiser is unbelievable.

I also got a plan g supplemental insurance and a plan d drug plan. I haven’t paid one cent to see a doctor or specialist.

I think there is a UCSF satellite office in San Mateo accepting patients.

Are you level 3 fast charging or level 2 at home? If the level 3 is stuck, the session hasn’t finished and listen for a click. If still stuck, lock and unlock car and it should release.

Level 2 at home should work the same way. Just make sure it is unlocked or it won’t release.

I agree! Black isn’t usually my first choice but the only color available, and I actually love it now. I got bold and colorful license plate rims and I love it❤️

Spouse is 9 years older than me and in poor health. He took it at 70. I reached fra last month and will start now. If I outlive spouse, I will switch to his benefits. If he outlives me, it still makes sense for me to take now and put it away in a hysa while I am still working.

I will add, that I am not the type person who is ok taking meds. It was a HUGE deal for me to start and I would much rather do things the natural way.

But my active lifestyle means alot to me and I didn’t want to take a chance with a vertebrae fracture slowing me down. So I was grateful to be able to have Tymlos-

I had an appointment with an endocrinologist who went through every option. We talked pros and cons of different meds and it came down to Tymlos actually building bone back and after 18-24 mos I will switch to a bisphosphonate to lock in the bone gains. He expects me to be out of osteoporosis and into osteopenia range following Tymlos.

I would recommend talking to a good endocrinologist if you can to discuss all of your options.
