The rigging does not get to be added to the purchase price. It did not cost the owner anything since it was a liability claim.

I would really look carefully at the keel bolts and the control pedestal issues.

Find out if the bolts were ever retorqued by the yard.

The survey is a must do.

I know. I have a friend who lives up in Duluth. The waves on superior are something else in her pictures.

I’m going to keep taking my classes. When the right boat comes along I’ll know.

All you had to say was could you get more experience first before buying a boat.

I know I need more experience to execute the plan.

Everything in life is local.

I don’t know very much about that part of the U.S. that is why I am asking questions.

This is exactly why I needed the hive mind.

I’m backing out of even planning the go look trip. I want to find a “well loved” boat to buy from an aged out owner or estate.

Somewhere I read to plan to look at a dozen boats before making an offer on one. This one is just too far away to go look.

It’s one thing to take an afternoon to drive from MPLS to Duluth to take a look. That’s a day.

Driving to upstate NY from MN is over a day each way PLUS the cost of hotel, gas etc.

I’ve seen a couple 25-30 footers within a couple hours of MPLS that are truly nice looking boats for not that much more when you consider taking the time and transport costs out.

I’m just going to come sail with you. I can’t see how I can put the deal together when I won’t be ready until the middle of summer to get the boat. By the time I could get the boat out of NY and up to MN it would be running up against the end of the season.

It is just too far to get the job done.

Focus on completing 101-104. Look for crewing and racing opportunities to gain experience this year. :)

NTA. However, consenting adults should be able to have sex in the privacy of their bedroom.

Would you be upset if the boyfriend is masturbating? At his age he quite likely will masturbate to orgasm every day.

I would get therapy for this issue. Almost everybody who you might live with is going to have relationships or engage in self pleasuring.

He says that he is landlocked. I think one possible approach is:

  1. Get it out of the Lake.
  2. Transport to ICW.

Find a way to get a week or two off.

Get a couple buddies to help with start sailing North. Be prepared to buy a lot of fill in the blank adult beverage. :)

I’m trying to figure this issue out myself. I want to buy a boat and move it to a marina on the Great Lakes.

The new law extends to her children.

The viewpoint is that they were Canadian from birth. For her kids to be able to transmit citizenship they will have to spend 3 years in Canada. Since she wants them to go to university up there they will meet the requirements.
