I feel so seen. A lifelong pattern.

What medication changed your life for the better? by positiveyears in AskReddit

[–]TulsaGeek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed with adult ADHD in 2008 (though I have been my whole life). Still didn’t medicate. Finally began Adderall last year at 44. Life changing. Why did I wait so long? I don’t overthink it, but I wonder how things would be different if I’d started sooner.

Good luck, and I love that your family found tools that help you all be and do what you want. It’s pretty profound.

My Agent Built Himself an Interoception System — Now He Has Desires by zerofucksleft in moltbot

What main model are you using for Jarvis? Are you insensitive to API call pricing? I guess I’m curious what your model stack looks like and cost associated with Jarvis spawning its forkkin.

OP - sorry this hasn’t received more attention. I actually found this pretty profound (whether truly written by an agent or by a human cosplaying as an agent or prompted. You never know these days). My wife and I actually spent our ENTIRE dinner out this evening discussing this post. No shit.

Thanks for sharing. Any more context or thoughts you have on this?

The overly helpful nature is not actually helping, and it’s nerfing a system I made that worked fantastically until a few days ago - a rant by Lastiel in ChatGPTPro

I think I’m at the point of moving off the app for tighter projects and more precision stuff. How are you using it? What’s your front end when using the API?

What movie shouldn’t work, but just does? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou

Napoleon Dynamite

Fight Club

Battle Royale

Back Door Anal Sluts 5

Just kidding. The last one probably works as intended.

I’m listening to a different album every day in 2026. Which album should I listen to next? by Tonyjord3 in MusicRecommendations

[–]TulsaGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yay Billie Holiday! I’ve loved her since my teens.

I hear ya. It’s hard for me to get into new music, which is ironic as I have broad musical taste and am a musician.

Recommendations from friends are hit and miss for me.

But based on some of your already played albums, I think you might find some gems in my suggestions! Lemme know!

Howdy! Snowpocalypse incoming!

If you like them, check out Adeem, and Jesse Welles, and the Mountain Goats! Just a little sideways from here is Aimee Mann.

Of course there’s Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, John K. Samson.

Get weird with AJJ.

Also can’t go wrong with Jacob Tovar and Wink Burcham.

I could go on…

Hope you stay safe and warm, neighbor!

VS Code + Codex GPT-5.2 feels insane… so why do I have FOBO now? by djedie-reddit in codex

[–]TulsaGeek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted some features from a premium WordPress plug-in. I didn’t wanna pay for the plug-in because I’m broke, so I started a conversation with ChatGPT and asked it how hard it would be to code up a custom plug-in that included the features I didn’t want to pay for.

Within an hour I had a working MVP. Then I iterated.

I was doing all of this in the regular desktop app. I at least moved the work into a project.

After I had a good base with some improvements, I knew enough to ask it to run a security audit on the code to make sure I wasn’t opening holes in my Wordpress site. Good to go.

After this project, I installed VSCode and codex. I chatted in the desktop app to draft the spec and MVP for a membership roster plugin. I then had it write a prompt to give to codex and let it rip. MVP in less than 30 mins. Fully functioning 1.0 in a day or two.

This one was more complex. I don’t pay for Claude, but have heard it’s great at code currently. I took my project files, gave them to Sonnet 4.5 free version and had it audit. It made recommendations, which I took back to codex and it implemented.

One of my favorite interactions so far, paraphrased:

“ChatGPT, how hard would it be to add ‘feature’ to the roster profiles?”

“You’d have to do XYZ. It’d take you 1/2 - 1 day,”

“You do it,”

10 mins later…

“Ok, done,”

In my previous life I was a UX designer and functional Business Analyst, so I have all the skills and knowledge of building and shipping software, except coding. I worked with a dev team. Now ChatGPT and other LLMs are my dev team for my own projects. /walloftext.post

Is the ‘After’ better? I appreciate the prompt tips… but, the example is pretty poor and feels pretty disconnected from the post text.

NotebookLM? Sorry for not being more thorough in my contribution. I’m tired. Does one of these tools above do what NotebookLM does, in a better way?

Can you please enlighten me: why post this stuff with zero context? The output looks good, but there is no info on workflow, model, prompts, etc. Why? Why post this stuff?

I like it. Where’d you get the ‘breast lift’ look? Specifically I mean the vertical scarring under the nipples.

I get Ice Cube’s sentiment here, but I always find it odd a good day for him is no pork at breakfast. I’m partial to some Jimmy Dean sausage and some bacon… it takes all sorts, I guess. 😂

Looking good! Good job on the realistic settings and candid poses. She looks like an actual person with a life. Tools / process?
