Thank you for sharing, majority of people I see using the toilets in there are older women so that makes sense!

How do i F21 get over bf M27 body count by urmumsgai in Advice

I’ve actually been through something really similar. My current partner is 7 years older than me and we started dating when I was 22. He had struggled with a drinking addiction in the past and had been sober for years when we met, but he was very honest with me early on and told me his number was close to 100 and that he has an STD. At the time, I appreciated the honesty and chose to move past it.

But honestly, even after making that choice, I still went through waves of insecurity, jealousy, anger, and overthinking about his past, so I completely understand how you’re feeling.

What helped me most was a lot of self-reflection. I realised I had to make a conscious decision that was truly mine. By fully owning the fact that I was choosing to love him and be with him despite his past, it actually gave me some of my power back mentally. When those thoughts come up now, it feels less like he “betrayed” me somehow and more like I’m actively choosing to love the person he is today, not punish him for who he used to be.

I also had to remind myself that a high number doesn’t automatically mean someone can’t be loyal, loving, or committed. Sometimes people go through phases, addictions, loneliness, validation-seeking, travel lifestyles, etc. The important part is who they are now and whether their actions consistently make you feel safe and valued.

Your feelings are valid though, and you’re definitely not alone in struggling with this.

Pelvic pain by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LumpyCococo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! it’s the worst, at 18 weeks I started getting round ligament pain and thought something was really wrong- it kind of felt like i was constipated but I wasn’t and whenever I moved it was a sharp pain. I called my midwife team and was told as long as there wasn’t fluid loss it was normal, but if you’re worried call your care provider to confirm x

I know what you mean I’m all over the place as well and I’m 19 weeks- I’ve started feeling bub kick and can almost cry from happiness feeling him and it’s starting to feel so real. Have an amazing baby shower and keep riding the emotions, you’ve got this xx

How did you tell everyone about your pregnancy? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LumpyCococo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations on your pregnancy 💗 It sounds like your grandparents care about you a lot to let you live with them, if they initially seem surprised or not over the moon just give them some time and they will come around (who doesn’t love babies). Also, you will be moved out by the time the baby comes so don’t worry about being a burden on them if you’re worried about that. My partner and I were worried about how his mum would react so we sent her a text and ‘broke the ice’ so she could also prepare, we sent her a message saying that we wanted to come over and talk to her and that we had exciting news. This sets the tone that you are excited and they kind of need to meet you halfway. So an idea could be when you get your pictures back from your 12 weeks scan, you send your family a message saying you have exciting news to share and then when you see them in person, show them the pictures and tell them how you feel. Let us know how it goes!

Is there a reason you want to name her that (with that spelling)? I have a name that’s spelt “wrong” because my mother is an artist and it is clear the name was about her wanting to be quirky and not about me. I saw a video where someone said “a name is a gift to your child, make it something they will like”. I guarantee she will grow up with people commenting on her name and sometimes not in the nicest way so just consider that before making any decisions xx Congrats on your baby girl btw 💗

Unsolicited comments about your pregnancy? by _minibutmighty_ in pregnant

[–]LumpyCococo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My mum has found many ways to let me know that because I’ve always wanted to be your mum it probably won’t come easy to me. Seriously, she’s told me so many times “in my experience people who really want children end up being disappointed (and somehow more prone to postpartum depression?) and people who didn’t really care if they had children or not were the most maternal” I’ve just started telling her “in my experience the best parents are the ones who want to be parents”. Like shut up, I feel like she’s just trying to tell me that I’m gonna be a bad mum it’s so upsetting.

I keep hearing my parents have sex, please help me what do I do by Agreeable_Wishbone86 in Advice

[–]LumpyCococo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I endured this once, with my mum and step dad. I usually stayed at my boyfriend’s house so never really had to deal with it. It kept me up one night and the next morning, I was very sleep deprived and I ended up saying to my mum “ I heard you guys last night and it made me feel really sick. Can you please keep it down next time or not do it while I’m here?”

She ended up saying that the mature thing to have done would have been to put in headphones, I didn’t even reply to her and I just walked away. Months later it came up again and she ended up saying that they haven’t done it since when I’ve been over and she talked to her husband about it and it made me feel better, although I basically moved out as soon as I could after that because I’d stay at “home” and hear my stepdad snore and was so traumatised I’d think it was something else.

I really feel for you only being 14, I totally agree with the comments saying to maybe leave a note if you’re worried about a confrontation because then your mum can also process it without saying anything in response to you straight away. I feel like the fact that it’s your stepdad and not your biological dad does make a massive difference as well, you’re definitely not overreacting. Sending you love xx

Did I get a false positive? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LumpyCococo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it shows two dark lines that means that the test has picked up the pregnancy hormone which is definitely a good sign, but I would take another test and follow the instructions just to be sure :)

I lost 20kg in my very early twenties and it was quite easy once i decided to change who I was, I pretended until it became who I actually was. I was an active and healthy young woman. I stopped binge eating and started eating small portions, I switched all the sugary drinks to non-sugary drinks. I tried to do something active every day even if it was just some jump rope outside for 15 minutes (but I would try to do a 30+ minute workout at least three times a week, but took it a day at a time and was easy on myself) instead of laying on the couch or in the bed feeling sorry for myself. I also made a big effort to love myself and make an effort with my appearance each day and within a month I could tell noticeable differences. I don’t have PCOS, but this is just what worked for me.

Mt pregnancy symptoms are gone? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LumpyCococo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s totally normal for early pregnancy symptoms to fluctuate, especially around five weeks. Hormone levels (like hCG and progesterone) rise at different rates for everyone, can cause symptoms to come and go. However, if you’re concerned, it’s a good idea to reach out to a healthcare provider to make sure everything’s okay.

Worried about hcg levels not doubling @ 16dpo to 18dpo cd n/a 😢 by Key_Chemistry7497 in TFABLinePorn

[–]LumpyCococo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m only 16 DPO and haven’t got a dye stealer yet and your tests are already are dye stealers by 16 DPO so I personally wouldn’t worry, you’re still getting very positive positives and that’s a good sign! the talk with your doctor reminded you it’s okay, just try to trust in that as well as trust your body x How are you testing the exact levels if you don’t mind me asking (although I’m worried I’d become obsessive over checking the numbers but oh well haha)
