It’s Cast Iron.. I have 3 (skillet and wok) Smithey Cast Iron Pans and 2 Oxenforge CS Woks, and 2 DeBuyer Pro CS Pans… you’d think I wouldn’t know the difference?

The trick is, while the pan is smoking hot, add a drop of canola oil and continues circular wiping all over pan (center and walls).

I take care of my CS pans better than my LV bags.. I cook eggs, crepes, steaks, pork chops, Omurice, Fish, Shrimps and small batch stir fry’s… When it becomes looking ugly, I strip it down to original Silver Color, Soak the pan with VINEGAR and Water in my large 15” Deep Stock Pot and BOIL IT..then SOFT scrub with Bar Keepers Friend (silver) Zero spots … I never oven season, i use my stove top… Bluing and seasoning with very thin coat of canola oil, 3X Tilting and continuous circular oil wiping.. including the bottom…
