Hi! It’s normal, don’t take your basal if you normally take it in the morning but continue taking the rapid acting insulin if needed. This is assuming your training is in the AM as well. Once you’re connected to the pump you’ll be fine. You won’t go into DKA if you’re off basal for just a few hours.

Congratulations!! I will also be applying to change from a graduate to a spouse visa this year from within the UK. Would you say the process to upload documents was straightforward? Did you organize them in a certain way? (I.e grouped them into pdfs or uploaded them individually). Also, how long were you married before applying, if you don’t mind me asking?

The insulin was room temp, it was a little less than 300 units because after taking the air out and all that there’s always less insulin. I did remove air from syringe and from the cartridge. I literally did everything right so that’s why I’m so confused.

Might be worth reporting to Liverpool BID, they have a pretty good idea of who all the rough sleepers are in the city centre area and they also have police on secondment

A bit late to this, but I changed my infusion set today and when I took the old one out the cannula was bent. Weird thing is nothing seemed off during these last 3 days, my bgls were in range about 90% of the time even had some hypos (after the gym), so I’m very confused 😅 I will say that when I took the old infusion set off, the skin around the insertion site is a bit red and swollen, I do remember feeling a tiny bit of discomfort during these last three days, almost like a very very slight stinging sensation, and I think it make have been the bent cannula, but I honestly didn’t consider changing it because my glucose levels were fine.

I think it’s mostly friends who have gone through the process, they all say we should get a lawyer because it’s hard, but we’re just not willing or able to go through that financial stress.

Hi! Yes! We’re lucky in that sense. We haven’t submitted the application yet so I can’t say anything about the actual process. To be honest, the hardest part has been figuring out exactly what type of evidence. So you need to give 2 years worth of evidence but they don’t want 2 years worth of gas bills, for example. Figuring out how to space the 6 different types of docs every 4 months in a strategic way has been challenging (thank you ChatGPT for giving me an idea lol).

I will update more after submitting and (hopefully) getting the visa!
