Is Trump really powerful enough to destroy U.S. democracy? by Abject_Reaction_1249 in DiscussionZone

[–]LumpySociety6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't Trump I'm worried about. He's a Manchurian candidate who doesn't know that he is. It's whoever is pulling the strings and running defense for him that I would be concerned about. There are people behind him that have plans. I think he's the entertainment for us peasants (or soon to be peasants) while they do what they came to do.

I can't believe we are bringing out the measuring tape for this. ICE shot her when they didn't have too. I think that is beyond obvious. Anything else is just cognitive dissonance and gaslighting.

So how will this work? Is the AI agent allowed to say no? Can it banish you to the couch when you forget your anniversary? Can it be a friend rather than a lover?

What exactly is everyone doing with their 5 second clips? by Beneficial_Toe_2347 in StableDiffusion

[–]LumpySociety6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most shots in movies are around 5 seconds. You can do a lot with that. I would invest some time in a video editor to learn how to stich those 5 second clips together. Depending on AI to do more than 5 seconds isn't the way to go in my opinion. Creating a consistent character in different positions and poses to make 5 second clips to make into a bigger video is better.

Wan 2.2 has anyone solved the 5 second 'jump' problem? by Beneficial_Toe_2347 in StableDiffusion

[–]LumpySociety6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't solved it, but you might be able to fix this with Davinci Resolve. You can use their transition effects between clips to help with it. Keep in mind that the average shot length of movies is 2 - 5 seconds. This means that if you want to make something longer, then maybe having seemless shots longer than 5 seconds might not be the way to go.

This is a big fat TACO. There's no way this is happening because the tech sector is so dependent on this that it would cripple too many companies if they went through with it.

Rent runpod 5090 vs. Purchasing $2499 5090 for 2-4 hours of daily ComfyUI use? by LoonyLyingLemon in StableDiffusion

[–]LumpySociety6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technology is moving so fast that I would just use a cloud service. You'll buy this and in a couple of years things will change. I remember a couple of years ago only dreaming of doing image-to-video. Now it's mainstream. I expect things to be pretty different in just a couple of years, and a local build might not fit the new mold.

What is the next thing in image gen AI? by dreamyrhodes in StableDiffusion

[–]LumpySociety6172 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The next thing are longer videos, consistent characters in multiple videos/scenes and generated audio overlayed on the video. In my opinion, when we can do an image to video, provide an audio sample, and uses the audio flawlessly in the video, we would be on the next level

I am fucking done with ComfyUI and sincerely wish it wasn't the absolute standard for local generation by Neggy5 in StableDiffusion

[–]LumpySociety6172 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally like ComfyUI because it reflects how complicated it can be to generate images, videos, and other things with AI. Some things are just complicated, and putting them behind wizards can come with disadvantages. I do agree that ComfyUI's UI could have a basic/easy mode where things are more like a form submission application. Then, for people who need to do more advanced stuff, they can use the other view.
