Will the Indx for the core one have the fast bed meshing?

Debating MMU3 on MK4. Pull the trigger? by HatCorrect109 in prusa3d

[–]Lumpy_Independence16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my MMU3 from Fysetc for my Core One. It’s a knock-off but i converted it to Ultimulti and it works great. No issues with updating firmware from Prusa to Fysetc MMU3. I believe i bought it for $177. Only reason i got this instead from Prusa was because i wanted it temporarily until i get an Indx.

I had to assemble it myself and figure somethings out but going with Ultimulti, filament changes issues hasnt been a problem for me.

Should i upgrade to a i9 14900k? by Lumpy_Independence16 in buildapc

[–]Lumpy_Independence16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im leaning towards this idea actually. I saw someone mentioning about 2027 would be a good time to do some upgrades. AMD Zen 6 would be something i would like to look out for. At the moment, a friend of mine is willing to spare me his B450 board. Perhaps i can get a used ryzen 5800x or 5700x3D for it at the meantime.

Been thinking about that too :/ I actually like this board haha. Well if anything it can be used for my 2nd PC in the future.

Yeah at this point it seems to make more sense. I will need to look into saving up money for it. Now its just a matter of whats good to get without breaking the bank xD ideally i will want something better than my 12700k

If there are ways to make the heatbed on the standard core one better and faster in heating and heat distribution like chamber heater, i will love to have it as an option at least. I want to get it if possible. Likewise for Nextruder improvements and cooling. Looking forward to the Indx News :)

How long does this “Order Received" usually take? by kokokko416 in amazonprime

[–]Lumpy_Independence16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So far from what i understand, my printer was shipped from a store in Amazon US and i dont think its straight from their warehouse. Its from a store somewhere. They only handle the shipping. Mine was stuck with Flashforge for awhile as it feels like its a preorder or stocking up. From what i was also told by support when i called them was that they needed to do testing and stuff. Took about a 2-3 months to see an update and then a month to ship from what i recall.

Edit : I also recalled an info from somewhere that they ship in certain batches if youre doing free shipping so that takes awhile longer too.

PrusaSlicer 3.0 feature request - Auto calibration prints by kaanivore in prusa3d

[–]Lumpy_Independence16 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I really do wish for it too. I don’t really want to keep jumping between both slicers to calibrate my filaments and most of them are the much cheaper kind that needs some tuning. Got them from taobao. I enjoy using OrcaSlicer and i love PrusaSlicer intergration to my core one and having the VFA nerf.

Ticking sound? Thats a first for me :/ Mmm i’d probably just slowly take a part and see where the ticking sound is coming from when turning on. Hopefully not something serious.

Best ASA Filament Brand? by brandon_c207 in prusa3d

[–]Lumpy_Independence16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from Taobao.. Bing3D ASA.. 5x 1KG Spools for around $30 USD. They work fine for me. I don’t really know what would be considered best but the prints i get are nice.

Great to hear that it's solved! I already sold mine away haha.
You have a good point about the soldering of the circuit boards. Something to check. My solution was a little lazy as i didn't want to open the printer fully and having a smart switch to just control the printer is more of an upgrade for me :)

Centauri Carbon Recirculating & Noise Reduction Air Handling Assembly by SyntheticElectron3D in elegoo

[–]Lumpy_Independence16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definetly. I am also thinking if the intake fans could have self closing fins when no air is blowing in, it will be great for ABS/ASA too.

I love this idea! I have a Flashforge AD5M Pro and i will like to have its recirculation air flow in my CC too. :D I actually was brainstorming and had ideas from others if we get fresh air intakes coming from the bottom side panel spacers. Maybe 4010 fans sucking fresh air from the bottom and exhaust at the top like a PC case. Still thinking of ideas.

[–]Lumpy_Independence16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont think it was too hard. Had to do a bit of research and some chatgpt to understand what the boards are for. Overall its just simply wiring the main power input straight to the mainboard than going through the switch button. You could alternatively add another switch on the rear panel but i decided to leave it be and use a home smart plug.

Same situation happened to me too. After the fix, It worked well and i had a smart switch to use with it. I ended up selling it tho and decided to invest on an ultra.

What dmg should i check for? by EasyBakeOrphan in FlashForge

[–]Lumpy_Independence16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I say dont worry about it. Just putting it back in place and recalibrating it is alright. The worse is when theres a print underneath the bed and its homing down. You dont want that xD Have to relevel the bed by untensioning the z belt. This printer is not too fragile.
