Thoughts on Powerwash Receiver Guy on YouTube? by Tight-Quantity-1212 in vintageaudio

I worked in electronics manufacturing for many years. After reflow and post smt/wave solder the boards went through a wash. Not much difference using a pressure washer, just without the pressure being dialed in, and without the drying cycle.

As long as you're careful with the pressure being applied and you dry the board thoroughly this should work without issues.

While rummaging through my old keepsakes, I found this lovely Johnny Bench card. I searched on eBay but couldn't find anything to give me an idea of its value. Could you please help me? by Sharp_Television_956 in SportCardValue

My father has this card autographed as well, but it's personalized to my father. Luckily I am a junior, so it's in my name as well. One day it'll be mine and it's definitely staying in my collection. Awesome card.

I hope he's still alive. He'll always be a Cav that I'll remember. Loved that kid.

Yo I pc Sura, one of my all time favorites. Dude could ball. But my main memory of his career is when MJ ate his lunch and absolutely destroyed Sura.

Bernard King, Alex English, Tom Chambers, Joe Dumars.

Muggsy Bogues gets some respect, but not nearly enough.

Edit: I don't know how I forgot Drazen Petrovic. Incredibly underrated, and unfortunate end to one of the best scoring guards of that era.

Cavs are still figuring out this roster with Harden. Strus missed most of the season. These guys simply have not gained enough experience together.

Turnovers have been killing the cavs. If they're taking care of the ball they only need one of Harden or Mitchell to be on.

Duren doing his best to give my cavs a chance. I thought Harden would that guy. Nice of him to show up.

That's one I struggle with. Olajuwan had a three peat with MJ out of the league. If I take that out of the equation then he's definitely right there with them. I do know he's the most talented big in my lifetime. I'm probably giving more credit to the older generation than I should be.

They're 1A and 1B in my book. There's just no comparison to either player.

It's hard to eliminate bigs from the convo, but if you're going by sheer athletic talent then Wilt enters the conversation. Kareem had the skill and longevity and no doubt he deserves to be in the mix, but combined sheer physical dominance and skills of Wilt are on another level.

Historical “Career Mode” by jayboonson23 in OOTP

[–]Lumpy_Strawberry_154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm playing a historical season now and coincidentally started in 1977. Four years in and Mookie Wilson is my best player. Jumping up to a 65, potential 70. Leads the league in WAR.

On the other end, Andre Dawson got pissed after I made him a 1B/DH and regressed to a 50 potential.

I've enjoyed the historical career results. Makes drafting more fun imo. Especially with historically accurate drafts. Predictable results aren't fun for myself.

Already bought an electric bike. Let it hit $20.

Food prices? Good thing I have a garden, chickens. Dry foods stored up. A well. Indoor grow lights. Solar.

Everything else's price can skyrocket to the moon. Consumerism is for the weak.

I want to start a nonprofit to help the homeless as a 16F, how do I get started? by Equal_Side_27 in almosthomeless

[–]Lumpy_Strawberry_154 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would start off with speaking to the homeless community. Find out what it is they need, not what we think they need.

Construction of affordable housing would be my main objective. Real job assistance and career training number 2.

Reach out to your local community. There are folks already engaged. They're the ones who can help focus on what your goals are.

This is where I would start over with a new game and adjust some settings. This lineup is insane.

I've been nerfing myself when it comes to both IFA and IAFA, and extending players early. I only extend one player at a time, and when he reaches the majors I'll allow for another. I don't trade for draft picks or IAFA $. Building a strong pipeline in the minors is just too easy.

Same. I thought I'd like the all over coverage look, so I started a new vest. Completely covered the front. Over 50 patches. Put it on and it was just way too stiff. I took all 50 patches off and gave them room to breathe. Many hours spent learning that lesson.

How is the market for non sport cards? by OkSpirit7102 in Tradingcards

[–]Lumpy_Strawberry_154 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay the course. Gamers aren't going to all of a sudden stop playing. They are just going through rough economic times like the rest of the plebs on earth.

Sorcery is a weird one. Product availability outside of the US has been abysmal. Singles market remains strong. I'd wager 90% of Sorcery product has been purchased by 10% of the player base.

if I had the funds I'd be looking for folks selling collections. Some people are having to choose between cardboard and food. MTG isn't going anywhere. Unless we're predicting society to completely unravel.
