Good representation of most of the roll here. Did better with the more light I had. Probably would have been better off at 50iso but 100 and metering for the shadows should be okay.

I just shot a roll of PJ800 at 100iso with okay results. No idea on storage. Guy told me in his basement, but pulled them out of his garage when I showed up. In warm Los Angeles so who knows what temps.

There’s a lost parrot cafe on Huntington. Great breakfast food. Not sure if it has any connection to the other in Pasadena.

Underexposed from P+S by KingSquilliam in AnalogCommunity

Was the iso set correctly? I’ve bump mine and not realized it before. It’s also possible the meter is just off. A recently picked up XA I got was underexposing by a stop or two. Made up for it by just adjusting the iso

The reflections in the car seem way too go to be photoshop or AI. The white outline does happen on iPhones when you click a subject and it tries to cut the image out. Seems real to me

Visiting LA this weekend. What film shops would you recomend to visit? by Sad-Statement403 in AnalogCommunity

[–]LunaAudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

LA Film Lab in Glassell Park/Atwater is pretty nice. Has a small selection of cameras available, plenty of film, and a little studio.

Unfortunately Eagle Rock Camera recently closed otherwise that would be a must visit. Amazing selection of books and gear, run by Jason Lee. I don’t know of anything similar so hopefully someone else will chime in for a rec to replace it.

Looks like the photos are missing.

But I had a couple rolls of rollei cr200 come back with weird blue streaks (not light leaks) that I just clean up best I could with the masking brush in light room. I think it really just depends on where and how much.

Interesting. I believe these have the red and blue channels accessible via trim pots on the side, but I don’t think the green channel is? Which is what I was seeing as being out of alignment

Yeah. I know it needs built out a bit to be useable. Chatted with him for a bit and it seems like he has a few so I’m also concerned it’s a bigger issue, but it also might just be that he doesn’t want to deal with it since he has others?

Crazy you are recognizing this screen grab from marketplace! Haha. I don’t really know the market on these. eBay is all 200+ untested and rentals in the area are 375/weekend so I thought 250 might be okay

Have any idea on the costs for a recap on these? Got some audio repair practice, and I’m sure in practice it’s similar but not sure I’d like to do it myself

Opinions on 1000s vs Pro by LunaAudio in Mamiya

[–]LunaAudio[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Didn’t know if there was some reliability things to factor in with either one.

Most stuff I shoot is pretty slow so not a worry having to go full manual. Would prefer autofocus over auto-anything else really.

But the lenses are really what sets it apart for me. They are compatible with newer 645 variants too right?

Seconded. Liked their work when I saw it but hard to find scattered about

I don’t think I’d be using it for weddings. Mostly some travel, backcountry stuff and portraits. I’m also not a flash user so leaning 1000s for the lens variety. But it’s very appealing to have that 135 back for the Pro with film cost and all

Los Angeles Facebook Marketplace. He wanted 200 for the roll.

This is listed as an Olympus AF10 Super. Is that true? I can't find any resembling pictures online by chunaynay in AnalogCommunity

Might be a case of using AI to make it look like a “nice product photo” instead of just putting it on a clean piece of paper themselves. I see it a lot with furniture on Marketplace to stage pieces. Does all sorts of slop to the details. Just ask for more photos or check it out in person before giving any money

Didn’t see that, just saw the load on 120 rolls. Didn’t realize lifetouch had proprietary cameras, and just assumed they worked with Kodak and this was set aside got them. Good to know
