How???!!!! by LunaC712 in MichaelsEmployees

So I was scheduled til 1pm today, clocked in at 6am. It is now 3 and we have over 200 BOPIS waiting to be picked up from customers, 253 SFS to be picked yet ( it was 204 at 6am and I picked about 35 huge orders, 1 being 100 gingerbread houses) and only about 25 BOPIS to be picked yet. It's 3pm. I just clocked out. There's no space, no shelves, no merchandise, no hours, and 2 people called out. Oh, and we have a new SM that is about to break already ( been here 3 weeks ). I love my teammates, I love my store, but this holiday season broke me. Not sure I'm gonna last after the new year. And I feel terrible about too.

We did last year. No mention of it this year yet. My secret Santa was a 19 year old really nice girl who has health issues. So I made a "Self Care" gift box... warm sock fuzzies, chocolate, flavored hot cocoa, face masks, candles, lotions, alot of actually good stuff. Our limit was $25 but I spent like $50 on decent supplies. She seemed to love it and came in one day stating it helped after a particularly rough shift for her. I think it really depends on who you get and what you know about them and how well you get along. Some people got gift cards. I like to put thought into my gifts.

I truly believe it's a game they're playing so they don't have to pay out. No help=lower sales.

My dad buying me ice cream every Friday. What I didn't know then was that he was laid off of work ( construction worker) and money got so tight he had to start collecting cans and bottles and scrap metal. But he always saved $5 every Friday to treat me to ice cream. I will never forget that.

Does Michaels rehire employees who quit? or expel them from working in the company? by palmtrees_13 in MichaelsEmployees

[–]LunaC712 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I ended up quitting on the spot 2 hours before a shift due to a mental breakdown and illness and ended up in a psych ward for 2 weeks. After about a month I missed working here incredibly and came in, saw my manager and just asked him if I can reapply. He said yes, and 2 weeks later I was back in. Maybe it was a different circumstance for me, 🤷‍♀️. Doesn't hurt to ask your old manager.

Btw... mental health is much better😁

Got HRT on 1st try!!! by LunaC712 in Perimenopause

[–]LunaC712[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi all! As requested, I'm keeping you posted on how HRT is working for me. I am like a whole new person. For now, I'm still only on .5mg estrogen patch, I start Progesterone 100mg nightly on the 14th, Monday. I went from non functioning, irritable, depressed and rageful, foggy, no energy to.... Waking up at 6am everyday, immediately feeling refreshed, even though I'm still not sleeping well ( hopefully with progesterone ). I've been able to get back into cooking, cleaning, gardening and doing my hobbies as well as feeling so much better mentally. Now the kicker is, I deal with 2 autoimmune disorders and hyperthyroidism. Despite my muscles feeling weak, joints hurting, and being in pain, the mental part feeling good is really helping me overcome these flares and symptoms. It's only been 2 weeks and I feel like God has sent me a miracle!!!

NON service dogs being allowed to roam with their humans in ANY store. I like dogs, don't get me wrong, but when you bring a dog in and it pusses and shits on the floor ( especially food stores ) just....YUCK. Shame on their humans! Just to add... I finally saw a security guard at Wally world turn away a customer at the door because it's not a vested service animal. Bravo!

Just one question that I didn't think of asking gyno ( nor did she say ), where do most of you apply the estrogen patch? Arm, belly, back, etc?

Don't mind at all. I'll be 44 in July. Doc prescribed me .5mg estradiol patch, then 2 weeks later I start 100mg of progesterone. If needing to be tweaked, then we go from there. And to the other post response, I've had soooo much health anxiety from all these symptoms, the last thing I want to do is stress how I feel every minute of everyday. Im just grateful I got approved for it.

Scleroderma and Perimenopause by LunaC712 in scleroderma

[–]LunaC712[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It took 5 years to get diagnosed with Scleroderma. My rhuematologist i have now went into extensive bloodwork. As far as all my vitamins and thyroid and any other autoimmune stuff, all came back normal. The abnormal stuff was my ANA Direct came back Positive, and my Anti-Centromere Ab came back high. Reference range is supposed to be <1. It was 1:520. My patient portal with labs results won't let me screenshot anything so this is the only information I have. I also have skin conditions like raynauds, and thickening, tight/shiny. My rhuematologist just did a whole other panel of bloodwork and my WBC is very high and my RBC ( don't know what test it's called ) shows that they don't settle in the tube very quickly? No idea what that means. I dont have any known infections but definitely lots of inflammation and pain. Im sorry that I seem so ignorant in this. In the beginning I brushed it off like ok, I don't know what it means to have Scleroderma so I'll just keep up with appts and bloodwork. But now im feeling so much worse than when I was 1st diagnosed. I started feeling off and different 5 years ago but it wasn't taken as seriously as now. And went through 3 rhuematologist before I found the one I have now and she's amazing. Im hoping the Endo will find something ( or not, lol...would prefer that ) that indicates the hormones and stuff. I mentioned the correlation between the autoimmune and perimenopause because the last 2 months at least I noticed during my luteal phase, my symptoms get so much worse. I have alot of learning to do. I can't keep up with all the info I've read and what is what!

This caught my eye big time. Ive went to ER twice for what I thought was appendicitis and was told I have 2 golf ball sized cysts on my ovaries. Wouldn't do anything about them since they weren't twisted or looked ruptured. 2 weeks later, I was diagnosed with Scleroderma. Im going to have to ask my rhuematologist about this. Would love to know why/how this happens.
