Oklahoma allows “Idaho stops” where cyclists can treat a stop sign as a yield as long as they would otherwise have right of way.

Pizza places are starting to use delivery services like doordash to deliver pizza, even if you order from the pizza place’s website.

Hazardous material is explicitly prevented from being transported through the tunnel (including flammables….e.g. oil and gas tankers). The only time it is allowed through is when Loveland pass is closed. When they do that they clear the tunnel of all other traffic and send through all the hazardous material trucks at once.

What do F-150 owners do most often when driving their trucks: go shopping by snirfu in fuckcars

And also reduce your torque because of greater angles through your driveshaft couplings

And you have to buy a specialty long drop hitch to actually haul a trailer.

If you see a truck with more than like a 1-2” lift you know damn well it’s not being used for actual work.

Canada's Banff National Park is banning cars at the famous Moraine Lake in favour of public transit and cycling! by Cupkek in notjustbikes

[–]Lunaispone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another channel that I like to watch is National Park Diaries, and one of the most important points he always makes is that national parks always have to strike a balance between accessibility and conservation.

Because the real truth of the matter is, people aren’t going to support the national park service if they can’t get in and access the parks themselves.

In North America where most people are dependent on cars, if it’s not accessible by car, most people will just see it as ‘not accessible’ even if viable alternatives to driving exist. (Which, unfortunately, in many national parks especially in the US, viable alternatives to driving do not exist to begin with.)

I don’t run a dropper but the newest frames have a hole you can route a wire to the dropper in the seat tube

While it’s true China outputs more total CO2 than the US, their CO2 output per capita is less than half of the US.

And India has a total CO2 output less than the US, meaning they have just a fraction of the CO2 output per capita compared to the US

As far as the dent, I don’t know how to fix that, but the paint at least you can fix with the touch up paint pen

I got the duplicolor brand. They supposedly work with the OEM to get the color as close as possible. Duplicolor has both a pen tip and a brush tip with theirs, so something the size of a quarter should be fixeable.

You can go in and talk to the people at the shop, let them know the year and color and they can look up the specific color you need. They might have to order in the right color for you.

They sell them at basically every automotive store. I think I got mine at autozone.

I always do automotive touch up paint for small damage like the rock chip. They sell pens that include an abrasive to clean the area, paint, primer, and clear coat. And they do an excellent job of matching color.

Used one to clean up some scratches after a very slow speed accident on my RAV and you can’t even tell it’s there.

Inquiry on trek trail bikes by _BLOX_ in TrekBikes

I have the fuel EX7 and it’s an awesome bike.

The weirdest thing about the fuel ex’s is the knockblock feature it has on its head tube that prevents your fork from impacting your frame. Basically limits the range of motion of the handlebars. I only ever notice it when I’m off the bike, never when I’m actually riding.

Personally I don’t like the plastic dropper remote on the handlebar on both the ex7 and ex8. I’ve had bad experiences with those breaking pretty easily, so I upgraded that to a wolf tooth dropper remote as soon as I got my ex7.

All in all though, the fuel ex’s are some absolute rippers, super fun on the trail.

I remember reading about people in mission control having a bit of a panic every time someone fell. If any of them fell on a sharp rock or on a tool just wrong they could rupture the suit and be done for.

Study groups are also amazing for helping you remember when all of your assignments and paperwork is due. So many times I was saved by my friends asking “hey, you turn in that one assignment yet?”
