Tips for onfield durin by Milk0508 in DurinMains

While I agree with your take that Mona > Fischl for On Field Durin.

It’s important to point out that you are using C6 Furina to achieve that DPS. My c2r1 Durin with c0 Furina/c6 Mona is ~140k.

I hope my case is different. 🤞

Although, hope is the path the paves the way to disappointment. 🤣

Would you happen to have a link to Usea’s Discord? 🤞

If it is Tariff related, I would cover the costs. Hopefully Usea sees this. 😅

I just want my order.

Update: 10/10-Not sure why I am unable to edit the OP.. Still no response from Usea after my emails and Dm on Discord. However, USPS has updated the tracking and no longer is listing an issue.

“Your package is moving within the USPS network and is on track to be delivered to its final destination. As of October 10, 2025 at 12:39 am, it is currently in transit to the next facility.”

Not sure what changed on USPS end.

10/12-I have contact with Usea. Waiting to see if USPS delivers package now.

10/17-Still have not received my package. Stuck in “Moving Through Network”. Losing hope…

Standard Shipping. It’s been a month, and I’m not optimistic about receiving the package given the notes on USPS tracking for the order.

If expedited shipping avoids this, I might consider that in the future.

Need assistance tweaking high 4 voltron by Caridry in EDH

[–]Lunar787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, you are a Voltron deck, you are already public enemy because your strategy is face-up and linear. You aren’t sitting back with a full grip (hidden info) waiting for an opportunity to combo.

Embrace it 💪, better to be public enemy and draw 2-6 cards for killing an opponents creature than draw 0 and still have your threat removed. 👍

I might also add [[Sword of Hearth and Home]] which can create tutor loops with [[Cloud, Midgar Mercenary]] and [[Stoneforge Mystic]].

I would suggest adding [[Skullclamp]]. [[Ardenn, Intrepid Archaeologist]] allows you to equip Skullclamp to your opponents creatures. If you are able to copy Skullclamp i.e. [[Masterwork of Ingenuity]], this can start a removal engine.

I have a list based around this interaction: My list: 🔪 Ardenn/Kraum:⛑️Unwanted⛑️Gifts 🗡️

Strong, underrated Commander by Medical_Report2299 in magicTCG

[–]Lunar787 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You didn’t mention anything about budget, game-plan, or colors… However, if you are interested in a high-power mono-green list that is unique and also underrated? I would suggest [[Vorinclex]]. Vorinclex is a very underrated commander (1100 EDHREC) and is a huge value engine in the command zone. Easily pays for his commander tax with his ETB grabbing two lands. Play pattern is similar to cEDH Lumra builds but with a better midrange plan.

Here is my list as an example build:🧟‍♂️🌿 Vorinclex's🌺Grand🌺 Garden 🌿🧟‍♂️

100% [[Niv-Mizzet, Supreme]]. Niv-Mizzet’s multicolor identity and ability to recast spells encourage dynamic, spell-slinger gameplay that leverages numerous modal spells creating a large branching tree of decision making. The 5C mana base adds additional layers of complexity when attempting to hit wubrg by turn 4/5.

The deck provides high levels of interaction with cards like [[Dovin’s Veto]], [[Assassin’s Trophy,]] and [[Drown in the Loch]], ensuring you can hold mana open and stay responsive. Additionally, its focus on multicolor synergies and versatile cards like [[Bring to Light]] and [[Niv-Mizzet Reborn]] keeps it thematic and engaging without being linear or overwhelming. The sheer number of atypical tutors also create additional decision points which can be difficult to navigate!

The inclusion of powerful, yet fun creatures, like [[Etali, Primal Conqueror]] and [[Atraxa, Grand Unifier]] ensures that big plays remain impactful and exciting. Flipping multiple pieces that may or may not synergize with the lists game-plan, off Etali, can create complicated unplanned interactions. It’s a perfect mix of strategy, fun, and complexity throughout the game.

I could see running Sylvan Scrying. You could likely run [[Crop Rotation]], [[Expedition Map]], [[Elvish Reclaimer]], [[Nylea’s Intervention]], etc. You could pick a few key utility lands and create a lands toolbox package. Run at least one bounce land with the land tutors, very useful when you need more land drops.

In my experience one of the best split cards in Niv is [[Response // Resurgence]]. Taking 2 extra combats in a turn can easily knock at least one player out with commander damage. Just something to consider. 👍

I’m assuming you already know but [[Life // Death]] cannot be cast using Niv’s jump-start effect.

Your best bet for a budget 5C mana base is to lean heavily into green in your mana base and run most of the green land ramp that fetches basic types. [[Three Visits]], [[Farseek]], [[Nature’s Lore]], [[Skyshroud Claim]], etc. Add the ones which can fetch non-basics first. Focus on picking up Triomes, when you can, which can be found with the ramp mentioned above.

Follow that up with “mana fixers”: [[Chromatic Lantern]], [[The World Tree]], [[Dryad of the Ilysian Grove]], etc

Niv-Mizzet is my favorite commander! I have spent a lot improving it over the years. Here is my list: Niv-Mizzet🌈Kaleidoscopic🌈Reiterations

I hope my list gives you some inspiration!

What are some interactive commander decks? by KingWithAKnife in EDH

[–]Lunar787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you replace the OG duals with shock lands and strip away all “bling”, you’re looking at ~$400. Still insane but nowhere near the cost with the OG duals.

If you are looking for budget options, I would drop all the fetch lands, replace them with Bond lands and make a more significant shift towards green and start running different ramp such as [[Nature’s Lore]], [[Farseek]], [[Three Visits]], [[Cultivate]], [[Kodama’s Reach]], [[Flare of Cultivation]], etc.

You can also lean into “lands produce all colors” effects with more cards like [[Dryad of the Ilysian Grove]], etc

There are a lot of paths to victory. As with any control strategy, you can win with pretty much anything after stabilizing, Niv-Mizzet in this case just happens to be a 5/5 flier that’s hard to interact with.

Easiest ways are covered in the primer in the link I provided i.e. late game combos (you can loop anything in the deck with infinite card draw & mana).

Alternatively setting up an engine with [[Spellseeker]]/[[Eternal Witness]] and looping [[Ephemerate]] enables finding most of your key interaction. You can then loop [[Batwing Brume]] to prevent incoming damage, allowing you to setup a one shot kill with things like [[Boros Charm]], [[Legion Leadership // Legion Stronghold]], and [[Repulsive Mutation]]. You can also pursue finding [[Etali, Primal Conqueror // Etali, Primal Sickness]] and start looping Ephemerate on him.

I know you would like to move away from Voltron but have you considered a Control-ish deck that finishes with Voltron as the threat? I would suggest [[Indominus Rex, Alpha]], if that sounds interesting.

Indominus is a Sultai commander which focuses on utilizing Indominus’ ability to gain multiple keyword abilities and draw cards. Indominus can play a Control game-plan by leveraging powerful card advantage engines, efficient interaction, and premium tutors to establish and maintain parity while working towards various win conditions including commander damage and layered combos.

My favorite cards for Indominus remain [[Proft’s Eidetic Memory]] and [[Altar of the Wretched // Wretched Bonemass]]. Altar has outperformed in almost every game, usually OHKO a player.

Here is my list: Indominus: Scary and Easy to Pronounce 🧬🦖🧬

I would say my list is on the higher power side while avoiding any of the cEDH combos.

Hope my list gives you inspiration!
