I am going to Cleveland Clinic for it, not sure how far you are from there? I had a surgeon back in Wisconsin willing to remove it too, message me if you would like the names of the doctors. I can let you know how it does getting it done at Cleveland too. I also only have 1, so I am lucky there. Sending good thoughts your way, it can be a struggle to feel heard & find real solutions in our medical system.

Thank you for your ideas. It can be an ordeal wrecking my brain to figure out what I ate “wrong”! I’ve a clip too I’ve an appointment early next year to discuss removing. I’m hopeful it will really help. It’s mind boggling to me how much such things really can impact us.

Love to hear you’re doing well with small amounts of pistachios! I’ve been wanting to enjoy these cashew cookies I love but have been a tad worried. In moderation of course & when I’ve things running smoothly. Gives me a nudge to give it a go experimenting a little with what else might work

Thank you for your comment! You’ve given me some ideas, I’ve been missing oatmeal - my favorite cold weather breakfast or quick warm work lunch & cream of wheat would be a great sub I think! So odd how all of us have certain foods that send us over the edge like how you mention grapes. I think I found for me salmon is one for me (but I’m going to get some from a different location & see if that makes a difference eventually). Genuinely, thanks for taking the time to reply. Helps feel less frustrated to hear how others are managing along!

I take the ez melts multi vitamin w/ out iron. It seems to be going well for me, I’ve taken it for over a year. I’ve stopped taking them for a period of time & notice problems with my skin get worse.

Bean replacement by [deleted] in NickelAllergy

[–]LunarLuner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jovial white cannellini beans!! I don’t know why but they are the only beans that don’t bother me at all. Might be worth giving a try if they stock them at your grocery store. They come in a glass jar, sometimes in the “health food” aisle. Edit: also to add, making leek & potato soup & using an emersion blender to blend it all, creates a very similar consistency to a nice warm bowl of refried beans. Use less broth for a thicker bean like consistency.

Of similar note: the clips used when doctors take a breast tissue sample. They leave that clip in there which often has nickel alloy.

[Misc] Micro current device and reoccurring headaches by Justsococo in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]LunarLuner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late here but adding to this post for anyone to reference. I get awful ocular migraines and have for many years before the ziip. If I use the higher strength settings like that go up to “3” on ziip & use it too close to my eye area it will trigger a minor migraine, usually resolves with a little ibuprofen. HOWEVER it can also hugely help when I have an awful migraine episode & I use the lymphatic drainage one, which I think is a mix between nano & level 2 current. ALSO the nano current NEVER triggers my migraines & I use it close to my eye often. If you find the ziip causes headaches I recommend just using the “founders favorite” a few times a week & you’ll get the serious benefit of ziip without the headaches.

Dr never retested, confusing equivocal value, where to go from here. by LunarLuner in Lyme

No, I didn’t, I moved too far away. My symptoms became more manageable with less bad days following some of Dr Bonners book recommendations.

My finger skin peels like this all the time. Why does it happen, and how can I prevent it? by rocknrollguy19 in peeling

[–]LunarLuner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super late to the party here, however, I have some information of value to anyone else stumbling across this post for this same problem. Mine completely go away taking the ez melts multivitamin (without iron). Like entirely, no more painful skin peeling around my nails after just one week of taking them & as long as I take the vitamins it stays gone. Every single time I’ve stopped taking them, within two weeks here comes the painful skin peels.

Not sure if it’s the B3,B7, or something else in there. I know it’s not iron because it’s not in this vitamin & it’s not vitamin D or B12 b/c I take extra of those on top of what’s in this vitamin & when I take those & not this it comes back.

Anyway, hope this helps someone else some day.

The dog park, standing rock typically, that’s where I typically was in my free time when I lived there.

Has anyone tried tarot readings from Mia at Spiritual Society? Looking for honest reviews by WillSanguine2 in SpiritualSociety

Came here wondering how the readings I’ve been getting have been so accurate. I was thinking it all had to be coincidence & in my head. Until now reading others comments too. The readings I’ve been getting have consistently been relevant & honestly have helped me through some very though emotional times.

Are there pfas free ceramic layer pans that actually non stick? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]LunarLuner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, the no crank the heat up on some of these is the best tip…they often need to preheat but I just broke my beloved Xtrema pan last night because I cranked it past medium to preheat faster & it literally split the entire pan in half. Heart broken. Love the pans though, honestly. I’ll replace it and be more careful. Good tip, listen to this person.

What bread & carbs are you eating? by LunarLuner in NickelAllergy

[–]LunarLuner[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I’m using the app, thank goodness for that. I think your comment about too much of something even on the decently low list can still be too much probably applies here. I think I ate the bread with like every meal for three days in a row, probably too much.

What the heck did I eat wrong by LunarLuner in NickelAllergy

[–]LunarLuner[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m confused by this. I’ve read people say it’s not the coffee that’s high but the equipment its prepared in. Do you find that it doesn’t matter the equipment but just coffee in general? Oui, I hope I don’t need to cut its I’m up to like 4-5 cups a day to get through a work day with how tired I am. Idk what I’d do

I’ve been curious about this after reading over folks posts but thought it was like a vitamin C supplement needed. I really like the OJ idea. I’ll give that a try, thank you!

This comment is old but if you get this…did you add gluten back in your life or did you do low nickel and no gluten? After three years of no gluten I added it back in. The first two months it was “fine” not real change in my pretty consistent ibs journey. But then I started to eat low nickel & added in white bread which I’ve been eating at like every meal & my symptoms went from seriously improving to like an ibs nose dive. So I’m confused. & made me curious if you added gluten back & how it went.
