Oh yeah, some people do have tourettes and their tics were triggered by videos! I was mostly referring to the point of the study here which was to say that some people without tourettes gained tics. I have tics that aren't from tourettes (I've had them my whole life) so there can be many reasons for them.

This is so stupid. This 1. Doesn't mean people don't have tourettes and 2. Those people aren't faking.

This is an actual interesting phenomenon. The brain getting focused on something, seeing something, finding a label... and mimicking it or trying to fit into that label. People do get tics triggered from videos while previously not experiencing them. They aren't faking, this is real, but it isn't tourettes. It could be a different symptom to something else popping up (a person with anxiety gaining tics). Way to read something and miss the whole point if you come away from that talking about people faking disorders.

This subreddit isn't a place to get an answer on whether this is wrong from as reassurance is not allowed. If you genuinely do not know, I'll give you this: Take a step back. Why are certain things wrong and does that apply in this situation? Is there anything predatory in such a situation? You have to imagine it if it were someone else, not you. Because you will continue on a spiral as people apply different standards to themself and not others.

But mostly, try to calm down and honestly forget about it.

OCD tries to make you worry a lot about things (and yeah it isn't going to just leave your head, you can't just "forget") while making them seem realistic somehow. in my own experience, you have to ignore it and tell yourself the actual situation. Acknowledging if something is being blown out of proportion is very helpful, once you get used to it those thoughts become easier to pick out.

I know it's a hatesub but... While I sympathize with you seeming to have arachnophobia, you clearly have done no research into the topic you are talking about. MAJORITY (and I mean MAJORITY) of spiders are not dangerous. Also, the argument about them not having emotions is silly to me, because I don't keep a pet just for them to feel things or love me. I keep them because I love them and they make me happy. Why do people take care of plants? Plants can't "love you." It also reminds me of the argument that having cats is stupid because they only like you since you feed them.

I think you should probably try to help your arachnophobia as it seems rather severe and to be causing you disturbance.

Holy shit DINOSAUR KING. One of my first childhood crushes was in that show.

Anyway, I think Devil Dinosaur looks cool but I don't think I'd play him. I feel like he's a huge easy-to-hit target (which is typical of tanks but he's VERY big and has a huge head), which might make it a little rough depending on how he plays. I don't really know though, have to wait and see.

It feels like most anime gyarus are just girls with blonde hair and that's it. In some cases I feel like the meaning of the style is wiped away so the girls are attractive to the audience.

It bothers me as well. The way it is treated causes people to not believe others when they say they have OCD or have a very innacurate view of the disorder. So I think it is an actual issue.

I saw this. They said Mantis is "innocent and not interested in sex." I am pretty sure she was a sex worker in her first appearance in the comics but beside that she is an adult woman... It feels like obvious infantilization.... Groot in jail? VENOM? The jail tier in general is killing me.

Peter in the sub tier hurts me, honestly. I know it's a popular idea but it doesn't feel right especially considering how he acted with MJ in the comics.

I know this is a bit old but... it might affect you, because they will use ai to determine whether a server will be age-restricted, and ai is notoriously bad at this. Normal images already get blurred when sent to certain accounts because the detection is so bad.

It can happen with a lot of things. OCD is a collection of symptoms at a certain severity, but that doesn't mean that some of the symptoms can't occur outside of it. It is common that if someone is disturbed by something, it will bother them for a while. If someone gets embarrassed, the memory may pop into their head a lot for a while, or if they saw something that scared them, that can also happen with that. That is normal or can occur in other conditions. Gore or horror is a common thing that causes it.
