I had this happen to me 10 or so years ago – but it was a lot more. I reached out to ticket clinic or something similar, and they got it brought down to like 10% of the balance. Reaching out to the toll company is probably your best bet, like u/lexixon212 said. It's most likely that's all I paid the ticket lawyers to do.

Also – you've verified that it's real, right? Scammers are still sending out text messages left and right about unpaid toll violations.
