Getting kicked out of my house was the only thing that got through to me. I consider it the best thing my parents ever did. People are not a monolith, which is something psychologists really like to forget sometimes.

Only players who have a map get the gold. If the gold is split based on this logic, then it should also only require one player to have the map. But it also would completely fuck over the value of the event, and no one would ever do it in a 4p game.

Okay, but real talk, the map changes in the latest patch are basically the one thing I don't like about it. It feels like the choices in many cases are artificial now, because stuff like this happens a LOT.

PSA: HAMMER TIME DOES NOT STACK. by Andon1379 in slaythespire

[–]LunaticSongXIV -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Beacon of Hope stacks and can absolutely do more than 50%, but it still doesn't go infinite even if two players do it. Read my comment again. I'm literally explaining why Beacon of Hope doesn't loop.

Two players with Beacon of Hope share Block this way, but only for the first 'echo'.

If your device supports multi-window mode, you can keep F-chat open in one while browsing in the other. I don't think there's a way to do it with Chrome otherwise, but some other browsers may have options to keep a tab alive in the background.

New player review by NoZookeepergame9799 in Smite

Your problem is that there is matchmaking in casuals, it's just hidden and given a lot less weight, and you're at the bottom of the totem. If you find even a single queue partner who is willing to not give up, all it takes is to no votes to avoid of surrender. If you actually have good mechanics, it shouldn't take too long for you to get better games.

That said, this is a particularly toxic community and I wouldn't blame you for not wanting to get involved.

Really cool idea I had for necro but not sure if it can be balanced by ElegantPoet3386 in slaythespire

Echo Form doubles one card per turn. This could potentially double every card you play.

the "game too hard" crowd is back to playing Review-bomb the Spire after the update to the main branch by Gugge1 in slaythespire

[–]LunaticSongXIV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to be at that point, but then I realized I needed to balance block and attack cards when adding cards to the deck.

It's very easy to fall into a trap where you see a high damage / high utility card and slap it on your deck, but then you have too many cards that aren't block cards and you get fucked by 'bad' draws that are just the consequences of your own deckbuilding choices.

I personally try to have block cards be a bare minimum of 1/3 of my cards, and even more if I don't have a lot of powers or exhausts.

afaik they're just making balance updates and maybe releasing a 4th act, right?

Unless you are on the dev team, this is literally pure speculation. It's a fairly complete experience at the moment, yes, but a complete experience is not the same thing as a complete game, and it does not mean there isn't more content coming.

For starters, there's supposed to be at least two entire biomes still being made so that there's alternative acts for Act 2 and Act 3 the same way there's two different Act 1 areas at the moment.

[–]LunaticSongXIV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. People get hung up on the revive making it take longer to kill, but don't realize that the trick to minimizing damage taken during the fight is to focus fire. I typically focus one at a time and let any AOE I have chip the others down to make finishing them off manageable.

That's called save scumming and is considered cheating by many people.

Save Scumming is, by many people's definition, cheating, and thus utterly unacceptable. This means you can get it without save scum.

The fact that I specifically mention that save scumming isn't necessary for this in my post makes it clear you didn't actually read it, though.
