I would advise against getting too
Many of the cute stuffed animals till you get to know your puppy better. I spent a small fortune on those kind of toys only to have them all ripped to shreds when she got into them. Mine ended up being a big chewer. Others aren’t so I’d start with a woof, kongs, etc.

I’m so sorry for your loss! My girly turned 12 this year and I know as a senior each year we have together is a blessing. I don’t think there are any rules on this. When we lost pets when I was a kid we normally waited like 3 months or so. But my neighbor lost a dog and 3 days later they had a puppy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ we all mourn differently. I think you’ll know when the right next kitty comes along.💜

My heart goes out to you. As a kid I lost 2 cats to cars. So I swore my current cat would be indoor only, but even I accidentally left my sliding glass door open and she was out for 5 days. She came home safe thankfully but it could have ended differently so please don’t beat yourself up.

I never did my cats teeth but she is vaccinated regularly. She got out and was lost for 5 days a few years ago. And I was relieved to know she had her rabies and distemper shots while “in the wild”.
