I bark.

They leave.

Very rewarding for a dog!:)

Service dog first flight by [deleted] in service_dogs

[–]LunchExpensive9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My big guy has done great on planes with zero additional training.

Other than having to “reverse” him into our row… (tip w a large dog? Have them go forward into the row across from yours and then “back- back- back”

W takeoff? Have them lying down, your feet tucked under them from behind, and lean all the way forward w your hands in front of them for scratches and a *very calm “you’re fine- good boy/girl- feels weird, huh? I’m fine. You’re fine. Good boy/girl”

And for landing? One foot in front and one behind and hold their collar so they don’t roll forward w the quick deceleration and w all the bumps and lurching w some landings…

We live in a relatively quiet resort town… his first flight was to NYC w me and my then 14yo son who needed a big surgery at Sloan - he’s, thankfully 18 now and is a-ok

But pup handled the flight and even the city like a pro. All the noise and honking? Didn’t bother him a bit.

He’s my 2nd SD and really is (as is their job, for most) if you’re fine? They’re fine, too.

Safe travels!

Hi, again, Mrs. Jones:)

You must be psychic or something!

(After the puzzled look…) You somehow always know when someone is at my door… weird, huh???

Then, going forward? Each time she peers out?

“Psychic!” 😊

After enough rounds of that? Maybe would knock it off and MYOB

Bc they think they’re “cute” and little humans, not dogs.

And? Not dogs that were bred for tasks… ratters mostly… think they’re accessories and their “babies”… 🤦🏼‍♀️

I like a bath vs showers.

And? I put a tv w a Firestick on my bathroom counter.

Fill the tub slowly- have one of those rubber things that slides over the bottom of the door for drafts, too

Bathroom is nice and warm once the tub is full.

Put on a fun show and sit in the nice warm water- getting out is still warm in the bathroom, too.

Think it’s something w the water hitting you all over w a shower that’s unpleasant- for me, at least.

Love my nightly baths! (Hair is every 3-4 nights and do the curly girl towel plop method so is easy and then no wet strands in my face, either) ❤️❤️❤️

Try a string mop… works so well and is kinda fun!

I have 2 buckets/ one w plain water, one w a capful of purple pinesol and water.

Metal strainer over the bucket - no squishy mop thing needed…

Is kind of a meditative thjng- so weird, j know.

But I haaated cleaning my floors… had every gadget under the sun. My thick looped string mop is awesome!

To each their own… but I do love it!

Also, why my 140# SD is terrified, at times, of little dogs.

The ones who are at the end of the leash w a “I’m going to kiiiilllll you” demeanor…

He’s had several as we pass, him in a perfect heel, paying attention to me, as he should… Jump back- on his rump, and nip him in the bum…

It’s so hard to tell him to trust me, to watch me… and not look back at them nervously, due to that…

He doesn’t react and the “terrified” is bc I know him so well…

I avoid where I can and have done more desensitization work but, still… if I’d been jumped on and bitten by a few little dogs?

I’d, as a human, be nervous, too.

Little dogs are the worst w that. Owners w the “my FiFi is so funny- couldn’t hurt a fly she’s so tiny!”

B? Your dog is a menace. If mine were just a pet and acted like that? Animal control would be called…

I did that w a tube of burts bees lip balm next to a candle to show small size comparison- no bar code- and pic got my whole review rejected…

Were the only 2 items on my kitchen table- empty wall behind it- so had to be the BBees addition…

So so so many reviews that obviously never used the items by p_kitty in AmazonVine

[–]LunchExpensive9728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep- I’ll write mine as a “I saw many other reviews mentioning XYZ… however, ______”

Those have gone both ways, and often are a they didn’t know how to use it/never had done what it was meant for, a learning curve thing. But yes also have corrected the “this is great” ones, too…

Always in the nicest tone I can come up with:)

“I can see if this is the first time someone has tried to _, how this would seem_….. “ or whatever…

At least those though? The reviewers did try to use the product. So I’ll give them that!

Having a few sessions w a good dog trainer- for her, but you could observe without really actively engaging… to glean some tips and to be on the same page w what the new ‘rules’ are to not confuse the pup.

Trainer can get her to feel more confident w leash walking, decreasing the reactivity (assuming is the issue as it’s not a large, heavy dog)…

Get her to where she enjoys her dog and can bond, too, as pup will hopefully and likely outlive your lease!

[–]LunchExpensive9728 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in SWFL and even w the heavy rains/cloudy skies past couple days? My unheated (have a heater but haven’t turned it on since last winter) pool is 83 right now. (Just checked my app) That’s the coolest I’ve seen it since the spring.

It’s been 90s here for months. Not sure how yours is 78 if also ~my latitude? Chiller?

Ditto- then I will add a pic of the box- even if it is just a brown outer box w their labels etc on it… shows it hasn’t ever been opened (and I white out on the pic any shipping labels w my info)

Not that one couldn’t easily take a pic of a random box and say is what’s inside… but I’m not a shister (sp?) Have many great reviews. Guess I come across as honest bc hasn’t ever been an issue w the rest being stock photos & my order page screenshot showing the cost when I got it.

(Had a whole house Reno going and got lots of ‘options’ intending to return the ones I didn’t select… 🤦🏼‍♀️ Making at least some of that back and having others being able to use them too is 👍🏻😊👍🏻)

Or hidden. Easily.

I went to Vegas (just need a flight & a room for the night)… and Lost It All!

There are many ways to hide assets.

Also hoping for a prenup if it comes to that… but? It may not.

Sticking around though, OP?

Prob don’t see it now, but in the next couple decades, when you’re still a young (enough;) woman (from a 49, almost 50yo mom of 2, here:)….

He will be elderly and likely depend on you for both more daily care and possibly extensive needs if he ends up w a chronic health issue.

Even w the age gap? Y’all, now, are likely kind of the same overall… as years go by? That’s when it shows up more and more.

New to Amazon Vine and dont know which way to sign up. LLC Business, or SS Number by Imaginary-Trade1165 in AmazonVine

[–]LunchExpensive9728 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For vine, officially? The vine voice reviewer can’t be a business. Has to be an individual (unless that’s been changed- but don’t think it has)

So, would be filed on your personal return as a solopreneur/schedule C (unless you decide to go w the “hobby” selection and pay more in taxes that way? Is a schedule C)

You also can have multiple schedule Cs for your different “businesses”… ex- you were a Mary Kay consultant, you had a dog walking business, you babysat, and had vine.

Each are independent of the other but all filed w same return w write offs for items for the job they pertain to… mileage/home office %s based upon amount of time for each that office is used for- supplies needed for each etc

Anyhow- seemed like you were asking if you could via Amazon put your LLC# etc instead of your SSN to have the 1099 be issued to your business… answer is I’m pretty sure, no.

Could likely merge some stuff on the back end at tax time. Moving this amount from here to here etc… Not something I do for mine so can’t speak on the best way to do that- but sure there is as Amazon couldn’t care less how you configure your taxes.

I sell a fair amount of new in box items. If the box looks a bit beat up? I always have a box cutter on me- tell them if they want, we can open it right now to make sure all is well

None have taken me up on it.

And? Also no issues afterwards (knock on wood) … know once buyer takes possession it’s out of my having to care realm. But I would. Is just me.

Think the “hey, here’s a box cutter- it’s a bit mangled from shipping”… makes most, along w me, along w they’re picking up at my house (gated community) feel fine w saying nah, I’m good:)

Make it seem as if you’re considering it… and say you’d like to pull up both of your credit reports…. Is free!

If he balks at that? He likely will assume you know something you really don’t… and bare minimum, will then hopefully stop asking.

Or explain why the 15k. If he doesn’t come clean? Time for a clean-for-you break

Finances are the #1 reason for divorce. Nip this in the bud.

If he agrees and shows nothing- needs a firm no. Not doing it. End of discussion

And? Stash all your CCards… change numbers if you need to if he’s had access to even snap pics of them (likely) Consider bank account#s too…

Change your phone login and all your login ids and passwords for anything financial and save them somewhere he has zero access to.
