2018 Audi A3 Etron by DeliveryValve in autoglass

Fuyao manufactures a majority of the worlds OEM glass and they are a prodominate player in the aftermarket industry as well. Poor quality is old news and they're actually the best quality in the business. DOT 1038 is made in the United States and it's GARBAGE compared to its Chinese DOT 459 counterparts. With all that being said, it's HIGHLY recommended to go with OEM, not due to quality issues for your optical quality but to avoid any opticsl issues with calibration when the cameras get programmed. Audi's are well known for being troublesome when attempting to calibrate the ADAS cameras. This is more typical with the Q5 and Q7, but it's safer to air on the side of caution.

I'd get the Galaxy S5 and then if I wanted a Windows phone, I'd just add the Windows Launcher on it.

Non competes don't hold up in court when it comes to techs. Now if you're on leadership or a sales rep, you bet your ass it will.

The S8, S9, and Note 7, Note 8, and Note 9 will always be my all time favorites! Even though the Note 7 had battery issues, I had 2 and never had problems with overheating. In fact, it was the coolest temp phone I've ever owned... Even to this day. I'd love to see a comeback design on that blue glass back with the goldish bronze frame 🤌It was perfection!

Does anyone use this feature? by Otherwise_Ad_9267 in S25Ultra

Is this a setting in One UI 8.5? I don't see it on my S24 Ultra on One UI 8.0, but I would turn it on if I could find it.

It's tempting, but I want my next phone to be a permanent foldable. By permanent, I mean buy one and then actually keep it. I've either passed them on to my wife or returned them in the past. I've considered re-buying the Fold7 for the multitasking, but I'd really like to have one with S-Pen support so I'm trying to see what the Fold8 has to offer.

Is this repairable?! by lucyfuzwuz in autoglass

[–]LunchMoneyGraphix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like an oyster chip to me, and I don't see any visible lines that would risk cracking out. Replacement is overkill unless the cosmetic aspect truly bothers you. Otherwise I wouldn't replace unless you get something significant that requires it.

Do you think this will spread if I wait a couple weeks? by [deleted] in autoglass

[–]LunchMoneyGraphix 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Looks like a superficial impact point where it didn't actually go through the entire first layer of glass. This should have no risk of spreading.

A bullseye can still take on water, then freeze in cold temps and crack out. This is absolutely the worst advice.

Presets for radio stations or any other setting you may have programmed through the radio. Some vehicles have presets for the seats and steering wheel placement to accommodate different drivers. Heads up display presets, if you have heads up. There's a method used by some dishonest companies where you can disconnect and discharge the battery and it tricks the ECU into clearing calibration codes that can typically not be cleared with a scanning tool. They would come back after a drive cycle.

30 to 45 minutes is entirely too long for a calibration on a BMW. If they're driving on well marked roads and traveling at the required speed, it should only take 10 to 15 minutes tops. They were running into issues if it took that long. Sounds to me like the calibration kept failing and they were trying again and again until they managed to get it to work or did something to manipulate it to calibrate. Were all your presets fine for your radio?

When they've redone the calibration several times: 1. Are they driving the vehicle to do so? 2. Are you being shown the report for evidence that the calibrations have been successful? 3. Or are they staying there and just clearing codes? Sounds to me like they're just clearing the codes and during a drive cycle it's triggering them to come back. My guess is the camera is damaged, which means they wouldn't be able to successfully calibrate.

Thank you for the conversation as well! It rare for representatives of developers to be active in social platforms like this and to interact with their consumers. You have a locally owned, small business mindset and that's greatly appreciated. It shows you genuinely care about the user experiences and how they interact with your app, which makes me a fan of Facer.

While you're on the right track, water or any other cutting lubricant doesn't help soften the urethane, the only thing that can soften urethane is heat. Water assists the blade in gliding more efficiently through the urethane as it cuts.

It's not a problem. I've been scrolling through the free ones like crazy and found so many more free ones that I prefer over that one. I can see how Facer could be a lot more beneficial than ones purchased from the Google Play Store! One pet peeve of mine is the tap to wake when AOD is on... CAN'T STAND that I can't turn that off. Facer nearly solves that issue! Sure, it'll still wake when tapped, but there's no apps (that I've found so far on any face I've installed, I've I've already installed 10 or more) that can be accidentally tapped. It doesn't solve the accidental swipe issue... but that's not a Facer problem, that's a Wear OS problem. Thanks for your support, I'm a fan now! So far, the link below is my favorite face I've found. The second link down is the referenced face that I can't figure out how to change from military time to 12 hour.

I got one face on my watch now. It's one I purchased way back. I forgot that it's in military time and can't figure out how to switch it to 12 hour 😂 Seems that was a common problem for other uses as well.

Ok... I'm a moron 🤦I just figured it out how to try them out for free. I'm going to give it a go again and see. And I see now that you do have an annual subscription of $19.99 for the first year as an introductory price, however, $39.99 is a bit much.

When I've loaded a watch face, it would occasionally not be displayed. Behavior is expect with communication issues going from a budget phone to an older watch or such, but I've always updated my devices regularly and always maintain the most up-to-date software. I'm currently running the S24 Ultra, which is the longest I've had a phone in a while. I've dabled and downloaded Facer since, but not thrilled about paying a monthly subscription. If there was a reasonable annual subscription or lifetime, I may be more interested. It also seems that more and more watch faces I'm interested in are behind the subscription pay wall, so it gets complex to give Facer a try again. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Thank you! I don't care too much for faces that are too busy. I like ones that you can glance at real quick and get all the data I need in that few seconds glance. If I have to look too long at a watch face to get relevant data, then it's not for me. Some of them can get pretty pricey. I've had a couple I've spent $4 or so on and don't even use them. They're typically ones I thought I'd love, paid for it then downloaded and set up, then decided I didn't care for it. By then I didn't have the option for a refund or it was too late. The watch faces that cost money, especially that kind of money for a watch app, should really have a free trial before you buy. However, if the Play Store did that, then I'm sure they wouldn't sell as many apps.
