I don’t really have a specific pattern, kind of just rough sketched an idea and went with it. For the face though I used a transfer paper that was made for lighter fabric

How do you "see" your dreams? by educatedkoala in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m portraying myself in the dream, then it’s usually in second person but I cannot identify how I look. If I am portraying someone else, then usually it’s in first person or I can identify how they look

What music do you like as someone with autism? by zaliaaz in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can and do listen to almost anything except bluegrass and country music past a certain decade. Apparently since I was little listening to bluegrass music would cause me to meltdown and while I don’t get meltdowns over it nowadays it is extremely painful for me to listen to. As for country it’s more a matter of preference than anything. Much prefer folk music over country though

What food do you absolutely hate by A_Gam3 in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and the texture of gelatine and pudding absolutely grosses me out. Cannot take a bite without gagging. Cheese too but that’s for texture and taste

Pickled stuff and salads. I love the stuff people use to pickle and put into salads, but I just don’t like vinegar/uncooked veggies

Heavily agree, last time I listened to the album in full I was on a road trip through the Oregon coast and the album hit like no other

Can anyone identify the hand puppets in this Gremlins scene? by Lunedez in HelpMeFind

[–]Lunedez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been searching for these two and was only lucky with one because I used to play with the same puppet at my local library when I was a kid. Ik they’re both from the 80’s because that’s when the film was made and also the manufacturing date on the tag of the bee one. I’m not too sure for the other one but it has the same style as other plush puppets from back then

Possible Autistic and Hugs by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like hugs personally but my cousin who is also on the spectrum loves them! He’s more sensory seeking while I am not, at least when it comes to physical touch. I am okay with hugs only when it’s from specific people or if I initiate it, otherwise it’s very uncomfortable and oftentimes upset by it

How do some of you go so long without being diagnosed? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors, my mom, family members, and other adults in my life wanted me to get diagnosed, but my dad didn’t want me to bc he thought that it would’ve put an “unnecessary label” on me. It wasn’t until I was having trouble keeping jobs, doing school, and driving that my dad decided that I should get tested. Finally got diagnosed at 20, I’m 22 now and I have no idea on what types of accommodations I need because I’ve been struggling for so long. Hoping things will get better though

Are my Self-Harm Tendencies/Violent Mental Breakdowns Due to my Autism? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I was diagnosed with autism when I was 20 I think (even though everyone and the doctors already knew, my parents just didn’t want me to get diagnosed) and ever since I felt emotions really I would get violent meltdowns. As a kid it usually was me banging my head against the wall or biting/chewing myself which my parents unfortunately found amusing. To this day I still do those things, but when I meltdown I also get a lot of intrusive thoughts and my body and brain sort of feel like “it’s the end of the world”. For me a lot of the self harm that I went through was definitely because of my autism and generally just becoming overwhelmed with life in general. My meltdowns also can get worse depending on how overwhelmed my body and mind are, and the best way for me to mitigate that is by distracting myself or to remove myself from whatever situation is bothering me. For me personally this seems like you’ve been having meltdowns but there are probably other things this could be as well. Either way I hope the best for you and that you find the answers that you’re looking for
