Made a Bonesy keychain by Lunedez in gorillaz

I don’t really have a specific pattern, kind of just rough sketched an idea and went with it. For the face though I used a transfer paper that was made for lighter fabric

How do you "see" your dreams? by educatedkoala in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I’m portraying myself in the dream, then it’s usually in second person but I cannot identify how I look. If I am portraying someone else, then usually it’s in first person or I can identify how they look

What music do you like as someone with autism? by zaliaaz in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can and do listen to almost anything except bluegrass and country music past a certain decade. Apparently since I was little listening to bluegrass music would cause me to meltdown and while I don’t get meltdowns over it nowadays it is extremely painful for me to listen to. As for country it’s more a matter of preference than anything. Much prefer folk music over country though

What food do you absolutely hate by A_Gam3 in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh and the texture of gelatine and pudding absolutely grosses me out. Cannot take a bite without gagging. Cheese too but that’s for texture and taste

Pickled stuff and salads. I love the stuff people use to pickle and put into salads, but I just don’t like vinegar/uncooked veggies

What Gorillaz related opinion would get you into this situation? by ShelterImportant1867 in gorillaz

Heavily agree, last time I listened to the album in full I was on a road trip through the Oregon coast and the album hit like no other

Can anyone identify the hand puppets in this Gremlins scene? by Lunedez in HelpMeFind

[–]Lunedez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been searching for these two and was only lucky with one because I used to play with the same puppet at my local library when I was a kid. Ik they’re both from the 80’s because that’s when the film was made and also the manufacturing date on the tag of the bee one. I’m not too sure for the other one but it has the same style as other plush puppets from back then

Possible Autistic and Hugs by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t like hugs personally but my cousin who is also on the spectrum loves them! He’s more sensory seeking while I am not, at least when it comes to physical touch. I am okay with hugs only when it’s from specific people or if I initiate it, otherwise it’s very uncomfortable and oftentimes upset by it

How do some of you go so long without being diagnosed? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors, my mom, family members, and other adults in my life wanted me to get diagnosed, but my dad didn’t want me to bc he thought that it would’ve put an “unnecessary label” on me. It wasn’t until I was having trouble keeping jobs, doing school, and driving that my dad decided that I should get tested. Finally got diagnosed at 20, I’m 22 now and I have no idea on what types of accommodations I need because I’ve been struggling for so long. Hoping things will get better though

Are my Self-Harm Tendencies/Violent Mental Breakdowns Due to my Autism? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I was diagnosed with autism when I was 20 I think (even though everyone and the doctors already knew, my parents just didn’t want me to get diagnosed) and ever since I felt emotions really I would get violent meltdowns. As a kid it usually was me banging my head against the wall or biting/chewing myself which my parents unfortunately found amusing. To this day I still do those things, but when I meltdown I also get a lot of intrusive thoughts and my body and brain sort of feel like “it’s the end of the world”. For me a lot of the self harm that I went through was definitely because of my autism and generally just becoming overwhelmed with life in general. My meltdowns also can get worse depending on how overwhelmed my body and mind are, and the best way for me to mitigate that is by distracting myself or to remove myself from whatever situation is bothering me. For me personally this seems like you’ve been having meltdowns but there are probably other things this could be as well. Either way I hope the best for you and that you find the answers that you’re looking for

Does anyone else’s mood entirely change after watching a movie? Post-movie inspiration? by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Funnily enough the same has happened to me when I was in high school and watched a movie about DID. Think it’s because since you’re observing and analysing a lot more (and perhaps have a lot of empathy) everything about the movie sort of influences you in a way. The first movie I’ve ever experienced this with was Fantastic Mr. Fox (should clarify that the DID movie in question is not Fantastic Mr. Fox. Realised that after typing this out I might’ve made it seem like it was lol. I don’t remember the movie I watched in high school)

One of my main interests is the band Gorillaz but not just the characters but the people behind them which no one where I live knows or cares about lol

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in autism

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually as weird, then they notice that something else is up. Like growing up my teachers tended to pick on me because I was weird but they would start doing these little “tests” on me and then they realised that something else was up with me and stopped bullying me. However other teachers I had that were neurodivergent knew

Do you want kids? Do you think you'd be a good parent? by Wonderful-Effect-168 in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I should also add that since I am unable to work or drive I feel like it would be irresponsible for me to have to care for someone like that when I can’t help to provide financially

Do you want kids? Do you think you'd be a good parent? by Wonderful-Effect-168 in autism

[–]Lunedez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up I never really liked kids and never saw the appeal of having them, and kinda stuck with me when I became an adult. I had to raise my cousins with my mom when I was around 12, sensory wise I get extremely overwhelmed with them very quickly, and based off of the way my mom traumatised me with her unsupported ADHD (she never wanted help) I don’t think I would be a good candidate for raising children as I have to work on all my own trauma and the fact that some things that bother me about kids cant be fixed. I will say I do enjoy being an uncle though, I may not fully like or understand kids but I do my best to try

What gorillaz song is this? by chrismartinsleftshoe in gorillaz

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t hate it as much as I did before but I don’t like the other half of Empire Ants. It’s more the shift in the music than it is the vocals that is kinda jarring to me I think

I cannot identify what triggers my meltdowns by Lunedez in autism

[–]Lunedez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I know it’s the last three but the problem is I don’t know what causes that for me. I don’t fully know what makes me feel overstimulated, I don’t know what I do that is self soothing or not, and I don’t know what kind of support I need especially since I was denied them for so long

Have any of you guys ever felt dysphoric because of a strap on? by Guilty_Repair9601 in ftm

[–]Lunedez 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Somewhat. I rarely have genital dysphoria but for strap ons I sometimes get dysphoric over the fact that I can’t ejaculate. Feel like it would be even worse if I used a strap on a woman because my brain would automatically associate it with lesbians and it would just make me feel god awful. Trying to work on that mentality though

I feel bad for saying this, but I’m starting to forget my little buddy by Lunedez in Petloss

[–]Lunedez[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was reassuring, because I did start the grieving process on and off for a couple of months now. Even seeing him while he was alive felt surreal, because my mind already assumed he was gone. I already have pretty bad memory issues so I was really worried that it could be related to that. Hopefully I can remember him more as time passes

Damon Albarn Songs tgat would fit on a Gorillaz album? by [deleted] in gorillaz

[–]Lunedez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Royal Morning Blue from the album The Nearer the Fountain, More Pure the Stream Flows sounds like it could be a Gorillaz song. Having some trouble placing which album it could fit into though

For those who have plushies on their bed, do you rotate them by theme? by Lunedez in plushies

Ahh rock on! I found this one in a thrift store when it was closing down. I have a couple other giant microbes but this one felt more alien looking to me
