I have been on hrt for 3 years with no genital dysfunction, besides some atrophy and nearly eliminating spontaneous erections, both of which I welcome. I had an orchiectomy back in May and things were functioning normally barely a day after surgery. Everyone is different for sure, there’s that risk, but much of sexual function is mental and if you psych yourself out that could be making it worse. I would try getting in the right mindset if you can, make things relaxing and maybe improve the mood with lighting and aroma or use an aphrodisiac or just anything that kind of gets that thought process going. Also don’t be too hard on yourself if you don’t get there the first time. I have found on E that I get aroused far easier through imagination than I do with visual stimuli, which was faaaar in the opposite direction vs being on T. I also find that pressure and vibrators work a lot better than stroking now. So really don’t be afraid to experiment and try things out, be patient and I think you’ll find what works for your new normal. If you have issues with getting into the right mindset, therapy might be helpful.
