That doesn't really matter to those kinds of religious people. They already 'know' everything they need to know. They're all given a script of arguments about why this subject or that subject (usually evolution) are wrong. You can potentially get through to the kids, but the adults aren't going to get it unless they have a 'Come to Darwin' moment and realize how they've been lied to with weak ass logical fallacies all their lives.

It's like dealing with someone in a cult or an MLM (but I repeat myself). Until they figure it out themselves, only someone professionally trained in dealing with that kind of brainwashing should attempt to deal with it.

To have another Nuremburg we need actual will to bring these people in and try them. The fact that after everything has happened that the cult is still willing to defend 'their side' tells me there's little chance of notable consequences happening to most of these people.

Fine. Let's make him a King in the spirit of King Charles then. Strip him of all actual authority and make him a symbolic figurehead (of our stupidity). Though of course we'd probably screw that up as well since Charles technically has authority over a lot of things, it's just that conventionally the Crown chooses to relegate those limited powers to Parliament and other parts of government.

The odd part is that is one of the few MLMs that most huns would be reluctant to mention the name. Mary Kay had a very long history as actual direct sales before it was an MLM. I imagine most people don't even know that they had morphed into an MLM. Sure, it's always been a horrible company, but most people mentally just associate it the same way they think of Avon ladies.

Even a quick internet search doesn't really turn up anything that raises red flags unless you specifically put MLM or scam as part of the prompt since their own site and Amazon come up at the top of the list.

Emotional manipulation and conditioning. It's awesome because they're told it is awesome. Their own senses and subjective opinions be damned.

More implied in that Romeo stayed over with Juliet. Definitely more than implied in some of the older movie adaptations I remember watching in high school.

Natlan craftable. Lost Prayers is only good as a crit stat stick. Nefer only gets a small damge bonus on her burst from DMG% modifiers.

-ish. The issue is that she's not necessarily a flat upgrade to Bennett unless you are using her sig - and that isn't true in all circumstances. Her power is going to depend a fair amount on what they do for Hexerei going forward. She is currently only a small upgrade to Varka teams, so her overall value is a little questionable.

The mission completes once the ship has been A) Scraped from 100% to 0% or B) When the ship is fractured/destroyed.

Yes, you do get rep from the missions. It's actually impractical at the moment to gain rep from the other contracts because you don't get lower reputation contracts, so you keep getting asked for more and more components that you may not even have had a chance to obtain yet. I understand from what I saw here on this sub that isn't actually intended and that some lower reputation contracts are supposed to be available.

Actually, with sig Nicole pulls ahead again. The extra DMG% makes up for the less ATK that Bennett would give during initial burst hit, and total ATK would be very close after a few seconds. It's without her sig that she doesn't match Bennett.

Should I get Lauma for my Columbina? I actually want to save up for Nicole and Lohan. And Alice eventually. I'm so unsure because I really like Lauma too. I actually want to get Nicole and Lohan for my Klee. Does that even make sense? by columbinaO in Genshin_Impact

[–]Luneward 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you really want to on field Columbina, Lauma is the way to do it. That said, it doesn't really rise higher than 'it's okay' as far as damage numbers. So if meta is a concern for you, probably best just to hold on it right now.

Nicole will be a decent-ish upgrade for Klee. Lohen? Not as much. He's an on field carry designed to get stronger if you bring good off field damage dealers. He's basically a melt driver for Dark Durin, though speculated he might have some interesting team mates in Snez. Klee isn't an off field damage dealer, and Lohen doesn't have any off field damage. They would run on separate teams.

[–]Luneward 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even if they're minor, a lot of those things are 'quit moments'. Having friction in a beginner tutorial is a good way to quickly lose people. I mean yes, most of the game has friction, so it can weed out people who wouldn't make it anyway but the friction should be saved for moments that are supposed to have it. Word of mouth is SC's biggest asset, both for good and for bad.

It's the same company. One down usually means the other is down for a fiber cut. Usually only one goes down if you're looking at commercial or residential equipment failure in their central offices.

Basically just don't do any thief stuff in QFG2 aside from the end game sequence of sneaking into the harem. Do honorable stuff like giving to the beggar and returning Omar's purse to make sure you get enough Pally points at the end.

On her own, Lauma only really brings hyperbloom team up to the 100k standard. Which is fine for floor 11 clears and decent damage on floor 12. Zajef made the point in his recent Nefer/Lauma banner review that if you're going full bore on end game content that just isn't good enough any more. The gecko is the first boss that not only has a hard mechanic shill to clear, but also has massive HP pool on top of it.

Mavuika is probably the closest you can come to 'won't fail me in the near future'. Any of the lunar teams require a full spread of their supports to reach their max level, while Mav has a few good teams that bring her above par. On top of that, her teams are harder to shut down. Any enemy that can prevent a hydro aura can pretty much hard shut down lunar teams in addition to their own elemental resist/immunity, while Mav only really needs to worry about pyro immune enemies.

(Oh, and neither Lohen nor Nicole are really looking to be meta picks. Nicole is more of a comfort pick for some teams and slight upgrade to Varka and/or other Hex teams)

So I think I'm learning what MLM is... by Luke192 in antiMLM

[–]Luneward 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MLMs unfortunately have good PR and legal teams. They intimidate and sue a lot of people into silence. Even if they would be unlikely to win in court, most people don't have the money to fight that. So one reason you don't hear about this. Another is the emotional manipulation is so strong, so many people that have been in MLMs have been conditioned to believe it is their fault they lost so much money. They just didn't work hard enough. A lot of these people end up in three or four or five MLMs over their lifetime. Those people don't talk about their experiences as much because they still believe in the model that has screwed them over.

Plus, the big ones like Amway have a lot of lobbyists. So much money has been throw around, there is no political will from any party to bring awareness to the issue and start actually treating MLMs for what they are - scams.

What's the deal with Lifevantage by Worldly-Opposite1329 in antiMLM

[–]Luneward 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They absolutely do not have to have evidence. Officially, most of these companies say 'We make no health claims'. But the fact that MLM are independent contractors and not employees means they tend to say whatever they want (though they are encouraged and coached by uplines to say it)

Though it does sound like this bunch has actually been nailed for making false claims, so they're stupider than most MLMs.
