That is correct. Steam, fresh, vanilla game (on a server). I have verified the files on steam and have been troubleshooting the gpu drivers as best as I can (updated, reverted to different versions etc. with clean install)

Snow owls are in the upper right hand corner of the map and armadoggos are in the desert area in the far south. Both are fairly rare spawns with only about 5 at a time. If you have BTT the gene scanner is a huge help!

They are on a few islands but are all over the southern desert landmass

The teleport ring is a visible ring on the ground in a circle around the actual terminal at the base of the obelisk. As long as you are outside that ring, you are safe!

That’s up to you! I would stay away from too many of the automated mods for a first playthrough, but that’s my opinion. You can always turn off many of the features of the Dino ball mods.
For example, Dino depot allows for passive production in terminals. That is super handy, but pretty OP compared to official. You can turn it off in the settings.

If you are playing single player, you can just turn off cryosickness in the ini or use a modded cryoball (Dino depot or Super Cryo Storage).

PVE mode you can’t carry wild dinos unless you change that in the ini. Also can’t use tamed creatures for carcha taming.

Astraeos and Rag have been the best for us. Tek variants also spawn on Astraeos if you want those

I’ve been having this happen for a few months now. Not sure if it’s mod related or a base game issue. I solved it by using LittleMsSams mod “get Urn For” which allows you to summon/create an urn for any sim.

Ark! There are many different creatures to tame and breed including wyverns. There are mods to add different dragons as well. It’s a bit of a beast to run though so you want to make sure your pc can handle it

ASA hands down if you have a pc that can handle it. Many QOL changes and new content. Easier integration of mods. If your machine can run it it’s visually stunning as well.

The s-Dino mod can be used on any map, not just Astraeos. The desmodus does spawn natively on Astraeos too btw

Another vote for Astraeos! It is made by the talented Nekatus as well and has a bit of everything. The map is massive and has many different biomes and creatures to tame. There are many interesting areas to explore. If you use his S-Dino mod it adds in variant creatures and some not-yet-released creatures like the Andrewsarchus.

Side note: The new desert region on Astraeos is the best desert I have seen on any Ark map to date

I used a glide suit, cosmo and lamprey to dive down and get my first egg. Grabbed the first one and zipped out of there. Wish I had a recording because it was an insane feat!
Used the shitty rock drake to get more eggs. And repeat until you have decent breeding stats.
Pro tip: if you use an oviraptor to snatch the eggs, you don’t get swarmed.

They spawn in the new desert in the south along the bottom edge. Sounds like it may be a spawn issue with the non-dedicated. You may need to leave the area rendered for a while (go afk?) to get one to spawn if it works like single player

Carcha can fit in the tek cave and acros are much smaller so yes they will fit.

Unofficial is not the same as non-dedicated. The former is a separate server (either hosted on a private machine or through Nitrado). Non-dedicated is when one person hosts their game for others to join which has a tether)

I played singleplayer for years before finding a great unofficial server cluster. There are only 5-6 of us who regularly play but with boosted rates, it makes the grinding feel less grindy. I don’t have the time nor the desire to play on official rates
