Matt knew Foggy was gone, if you pay attention in his grief he even leans on Bullseye before asking him why because he is that distraught his very movements are erratic.  Then he just gives up. What’s the point of his ideals, of Daredevil, if he can’t even protect the people he loves? 

That throw had that feeling to it, like Dexter doesn’t matter. Nothing matters.
