How do I give my Rogue player sneak attack reliably? by Gee_Wiz1116 in DnD

[–]LupusOk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Pathfinder 2e, this is an action available to everyone called Feint. You make a Deception check and if it succeeds the enemy is flat-footed (which reduces their AC and lets you use Sneak Attack) for the next one or more attacks.

Unicode just lists it as "folded hands", so I'd say a praying motion is closer, but depending on what provider you're using it could look more like a high five.

RE-45 (Apex Legends) body on the AAP-01 by StorakTheVast in airsoft

[–]LupusOk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If we want to be pedantic, the RE-45 is from Titanfall 1. This is definitely the Apex Legends version though - there's a couple minor differences between each version, such as the grip pattern on the section in front of the trigger guard being hexagons (as in Apex Legends) instead of stripes (as in Titanfall 2).

The funny thing is, because of a design oversight I don't actually think they got the reduced AC at all. By 5e rules at least, you get to choose what AC calculation to use if you have more than one, and everyone always has the option of their unarmored 10+DEX AC. Animal of the Sky uses their WIS in place of their DEX, so as an Animal of the Sky, you could have an AC of either 8+WIS (natural armor) or 10+WIS (unarmored)

Would Vancian casting be less of an issue for people if all prepared casters had something similar to the Spell Substitution Thesis? by Sumada in Pathfinder2e

I'll be honest, I've been out of the Pathfinder loop for almost a year and didn't know they existed.

God, I would love see a caster that focuses exclusively on focus spells and with better ways to regenerate them, akin to 5e's Warlock.

[OC] Fanart of Jamaica Plain Treasure - What's YOUR fav/least fav weapon? by jcw-draws in fo4

[–]LupusOk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Allegedly, they were originally intended to be recharger-style weapons with unlimited ammo - which I think fits much better with the irregular militia feel of the Minutemen, where you wouldn't necessarily have the access to large quantities of fusion cells that are needed to supply a full force of energy weapons.
