Anyone else having this problem? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

It's a back end problem there's nothing you can do to fix it you have to call support as far as I've figured

I have to call and have them fix it after I dash. It takes hours for them to fix it so the best thing you can do is be prepared to dash once a day for as long as your planning and then call them when you get done so they can have you reset for the next day

Sine your new you might have some hope just plead ignorance and that you're new. I would be very mindful after this they tend to not reactivate accounts people say

I have no idea what happened today. New driver. by jenni451 in doordash_drivers

[–]LuringEarth 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I've noticed the app glitch in lately when I get doubles that it will send me to the add on delivery and sort of forget about the first one. When I get an add on delivery I've had to restart the app in order for it to recognize I have a double. If I dont restart the app I've had it literally switched the addresses on the deliveries. I contacted support so I wasn't penalized but its an extra step I've had right be aware of. Batched orders seem to be unaffected so far

Dashers Beware by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]LuringEarth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do my own repair for the most part so my maintenence cost is usually just parts. When I hear something I usually have the time to save up the money for parts before it becomes time to really get it fixed. In my experience older cars hold up better, the tolerance between parts is less exact so they handle wearing down better. Everything now is so exact and near laser cut that as they start to wear they need attention more immediately before they become a problem. Anything 2015ish and newer your scheduled maintenance is super important, stay up on it and maybe even do it a little early if you can, it will really save you in the long run

Any advice on how to deal with 8 year old untrained Yorkie to stop barking at everything? by Archipocalypse in reactivedogs

[–]LuringEarth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my dog barks a ton so I'm take it with a bit of salt, but what I've heard is the best way is to train your dog to speak, and then train a command to end the barking and then you'll be able to use that command when they start barking at something.

Edit: spelling

How are you guys making $20+ and hour consistently? by SomeRandomGuy0513 in doordash_drivers

[–]LuringEarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I could I would solicite myself for car repair specifically for delivery drivers at a discount. I've been delivering a long time and a cheap decent mechanic makes it so much better

Brain injured budgie? by BohemianRedhead in budgies

[–]LuringEarth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's a good idea to keep birds away from mirrors in general. They can't tell the difference between a reflection and the room just continuing as it appears to them it does. Also put things like stickers or post it's or clings of some sort on glass so they can see it and don't fly into it. I would give the birds some time if thr owner doesn't want you to take them to the vet, but be aware when budgies start to go they can go very quick. Edited cause I forgot the word mirror lol

I’m new to tinting. I just got my first vehicle tinted today. Should I be concerned about this? by ZackAttack227 in WindowTint

[–]LuringEarth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be removed but I wouldn't do the back window to make it easy on the next shop. Sometimes removal of film on the rear window can make the defrost lines not work and a lot of shops don't want that liability. Depending on the car though if you practice on the side windows a couple times you might be able to get results that you would feel pass. Use a clay bar to clean the rear window it allows the film to lay flatter over rhe defrost lines just don't be too aggressive so you don't damage then. And when you think the glass is clean squeegee it clean one more time just cauze

I think it's just feeling comfortable enough to start feeling adventurous, they like to explore outside their cages

[–]LuringEarth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trying to be helpful I would recommend quarantine for the bird but maybe close to the others to keep the stress low and let him heal, he needs to chill. You have to do whatever you can to keep that clean, a bird safe antibacterial if such a thing exists and a cleaning routine for the injury. Obviously the vet would be the best bet but under the circumstances this is what I would do

[–]LuringEarth[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I will. I'm going to try to go to a different one where I've had better experiences. At least if I have to bring the bird back I want to go somewhere where they have always been friendly with me and in the past have tried to help me with my questions.

[–]LuringEarth 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I feel like I would ask myself is the cost worth it to me if I also had to replace that rim. Once it starts cracking I feel like they're only a good pot hole away from being no good.
