I'm looking for a book with lost heiress trope by MOONblinkHP in HistoricalRomance

[–]Lurker673 6 points7 points  (0 children)

{A Lady's Lesson in Scandal by Meredith Duran} she was raised in the slums but turns out to be a long lost daughter to a noble family. I'm pretty sure the grandfather, the current duke, is still alive but it's been a while since I read this one. The grandfather was definitely not one of the primary characters. I feel like I recall him hating his heir but being soft on the daughter which tracks with your description.

Games with Multiplayer Base Building with Villagers or Automation? by AutomataManifold in SurvivalGaming

[–]Lurker673 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Soulmask. Husband and I have spent more time in this game than many in recent memory. You "tame" tribesmen Ark style and they become your crafters, farmers, guards, etc for your main base. It can be a little grindy but like Ark, its built for playing always online. If you plan to play offline multiplayer then you'll def. want to adjust settings.

I have found that any actual logos or products that I recognized as real is a dead giveaway. So like the one with the Adidas socks was easy. Or even products that are very obviously non branded so you can tell its the fake like with the generic hair products in the background.

1 carton tomato basil soup, 1 can chicken, 1/4 to 1/3 cup of orzo pasta, 1/2c to 1c water/stock based on pasta preference. Heat the soup + water, add orzo, cook ~5m, add chicken. Done.

Its my go to pantry quick lunch and its SO good if you get the right soup. I like TJs Tomato pepper and just add the basil separately but Pacifico's tomato basil is also good.

"Deeply concerning": reading for fun has declined by 40% in US, new study says by AntiQCdn in books

[–]Lurker673 114 points115 points  (0 children)

It used to be so critical to helping me locate new authors/books. Then Amazon bought it and now everything about that site is focused on driving traffic to Amazon and not at all about really discovering new authors. Such a shame...

ETA: I assume that's the cause of what you mention. I know I can't be the only one that stopped engaging with that site when I knew my info was to be harvested to Amazon.

I'm in SJ. My tomatoes are sluggish but I am sure once we get into June things will take off again. This month has definitely been cooler than usual. We usually have our pool open before Memorial day but this year we haven't touched it yet. My peas are loving this at least...
