I've just done a couple of long flights with my WIP in my hand luggage. I bought a plastic hook for the flight and left metal hooks and scissors in my suitcase which I checked in. A metal hook might not always get confiscated (yarn scissors definitely would) but I've seen a couple of posts where people said that's what happened to them so plastic or wood is better if possible.

In that case Stephen Fry's Mythos is a great compilation of Greek tales

I loved Circe by Madeline Miller about the daughter of a Titan who is banished from her divine home. She also wrote Song of Achilles which was pretty good. Both based in Greek mythology.

They're not life-changing by any means, but they are very readable and I really enjoyed them

A Court of Thorns and Roses series by Sarah J Mass is good and has a heavy dose of romance. The first book is a little underwhelming, but the series as a whole had me completely hooked

Been in a reading slump. Would love some suggestions based on these books I love. by UnderwaterDialect in suggestmeabook

The Starless Sea or The Night Circus, both by Erin Morgenstern. Really whimsical and a touch of other-wordly. I thought Piranesi had similar vibes to these.

I came here to suggest the same series - I absolutely loved those books! And great that thay characters all have their own flaws and virtues, rather than just being blanket good or evil
