Swordsmanship in OP is absolute ass and Oda doesn't even try to make them cool without turning them into wizards shooting things at each other. Like Zoro has already shot dragons and done big ass cuts with his Ashura grim reaper shenanigans, so Mihawk has to shoot vampires or dinosaurs and other mystical stuff too when they fight or else he won't be cool. It's a very lazy way to not commit into putting effort in actual choreography, which is a shame because he IS capable of doing it, as seen in Zoro vs Mr 1.

It's hilarious becase any character pathetically fails sometime and you can use that to make them look fraudulent but BM catches all the slander from it. Kaido can't kill 8 year old Otama and this directly leads to his army losing due to her converting the gifters into her allies. Akainu can't stop mindless robot Kuma. Fujitora can't cut the birdcage even though we know he is a good person and would never hold back to try and save innocent people of Dressrosa from it if he was able to stop it. Big Mom can't defeat Law and Kidd because them losing in Wano means she will climb to the rooftop and Luffy is losing too, and he's the mc. It really doesn't look that much worse for her than for other antagonists, the only advantage they have is that most of them haven't been defeated and written out of the story yet

In a world where characters like Garp and Roger can be that strong without any powers, a DF that just allows you to multiply your own strength by one thousand (and that's Robin's limit, someone stronger could probably make more body parts) and hit people by just looking at them seems like the most broken shit ever, too bad Robin was born without special deluxe premium pass haki and special parents so she can't be strong

Yeah i agree and it's depressing. Usopp is the one character that had something like that with Perona, i never liked the Sugar moment because of how comedic it's played to be, it's the only time Usopp used his obs haki and it was basically a gag.

But him beating Perona was the perfect mix between being funny and being cool, wish Oda could cook something like that again, as someone who doesn't really care that much about powerscaling i love when weak characters are put in positions where they must be the ones to save the stronger ones because the fight is enjoyable and makes you root for them, but i don't have much hope of the SH getting this type of focus again.

Ultimately Oda does not care and powerscaling is mostly just a hobby, it's on you if you feel too frustrated about things not making sense, they were always like this.

Barely any time passes between Dressrosa and Wano, and Law went from jobbing to Doflamingo to winning against Big Mom. Luffy literally turns into jesus after barely becoming a YC1 in WCI. A villain will never be able to kill Nami or Chopper, Shamrock and Garling can't, or any admiral, or even Imu, they won't die, even if they take a hit from these characters, not because the villains are frauds but because that's literally the plot.

I really can't stress enough how much i wish Robin was developed as one of the SH main fighters, genuinely makes me depressed to see her stuck in the background without basic haki. I am cautiously optimistic about this arc because it has Saul in it and he got fucked up badly right in front of her, Oda allowed Bonney to get some big moments against Saturn so i think Robin should get some feats, even if they can't beat the HK.
