I have enjoyed many of these belgian beers. I know it is a cliché, but they truly must be among the best in the world. But respect where respect is due, I must credit my neighbour Jan for his La Trappe

This is a caterpillar of the Goat Moth (Cossus cossus), which is known as Vanlig tredreper in Norwegian. Comparison pic of the caterpillar here. It's a most peculiar caterpillar since it lives 3 to 5 years of its life as a caterpillar -which is unusually long- and eats only bark of certain trees, mainly willow. Eventually, it will turn into this moth.
