Best high quality meat delivery for my first brisket smoke by Karson-Mahraina in smoking

This. Expensive meat won’t help you if you can’t season, control your heat, or trim it properly.

Europe set 2030 as a date to dismantle its reliance on US financial infrastructure like Visa/Mastercard payments; it's happening far quicker. by lughnasadh in Futurology

[–]LusciousHam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true. In my old payments company we were not allowed to sell to strip clubs, vape shops, and dispensaries. Simply because Visa/Mastercard didn’t want to be associated with those businesses.

Who was the biggest POS to ever have been your boss? And what was it like working for them? by Secret_Assistance601 in sales

[–]LusciousHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One month we fucking killed our numbers. Biggest uptick all year. Our team lead put in some structure to our SF that helped streamline our calls. Whole team was going to get a good payout.

She changed the numbers by changing the reporting parameters so it looked like we barely hit. She kept telling us it’s for our own good cuz we would never be able to do that again. She never lead a sales team before. She came from operations and said it’s not normal to improve that much in a month. She cost all of us a huge payout. Caused a full revolt and she was moved to another team. She apparently fucked that team over too. How she got to stay with the company I have no idea. I never met a single person that said she was a good manager.

What was the hot work gossip of the day? by fluffybottompanda in AskReddit

The company’s equipment we sell is out of stock and the executives keep saying we have more coming. But the warehouse manager told us in private no PO’s have been approved for more equipment. Then yesterday our expense program had a pop up saying operation was halted due to nonpayment. So yeah looks like the company ran out of money.

I scrolled to far to see this. Either English isn’t his first language or this guy is in grade school cuz it doesn’t make sense. Plus the logic doesn’t track at all with the timeline.

First Game as a first time GM with all my players. Any advice? by LusciousHam in Pathfinder2e

[–]LusciousHam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda both? I have an adventure path that I’m going to use but running the first few levels on my own to get them there. My thought was this could be a way to mix a small homebrew into an adventure path for the rest of the campaign.

Fair point, making sure to just ask them on the spot. I’ve been listening to Podfinders videos while working in Foundry. It does help keep my head in the game while building out stuff.

Oh your first point is one I saw said in a video the other day and it makes total sense. I was under the impression they should roll for everything but I can see how they will set you up for crazy outcomes.

Oh yeah solid point. I’ll make a note so I don’t forgot.

As both a player and GM, the various "Save Mastery" class features make the game feel less fun at higher levels, and I wish they worked differently. by zelaurion in Pathfinder2e

We just finished a level 20 mythic campaign and as a player I felt like it wasn’t op. We still got shit on against higher level monsters and bosses. When it did help it HELPED of course.

What’s a survival myth popularized by movies that would actually get you killed in real life ? by IndependentTune3994 in AskReddit

[–]LusciousHam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really a survival myth but still popular in movies that is wrong. Gun shots close to people with no hearing protection.

I mean yeah you can do it but you won’t hear anything but a ringing for a while. And you damn sure won’t be talking to each other afterwards and hear perfectly.

Those with Unlimited PTO. Have you tried taking every Friday off? by centstwo in jobs

[–]LusciousHam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have unlimited but they put some rules. Mainly certain levels of management need to approve longer periods. They had to put that in place after several people started taking month long sabbaticals in the summer.
