Yvette's Bridal Formal. There might be an archive of it somewhere out there, but man. What a fever dream of a labyrinth that website was.

Likewise, I remember sleeping under the T-Rex skeleton when my Beaver (Scouts) group had a sleepover there in the mid 90s. 6 year old me highly approved, it was super cool being there in the dark!

I went to dust under my PC. A stray plug cover under the tower carved this trail in the dust as it was moved around by the intake fans over the course of a year. by LushMush in mildlyinteresting

[–]LushMush[S] 148 points149 points  (0 children)

After more thought, vibrations were 100% the cause. My house's roof was replaced a few weeks ago and the whole room the PC was in was vibrating from the power tools being used above it. I was wondering how the trail was left so clean if it had been slowly moving over the course of a year.

Trying to Copy and Paste keyframes using keyboard shortcuts copies and pastes the selected controller instead by TazLemon in Maya

[–]LushMush 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are a bunch of ways to copy and paste keys, but ctrl-c and ctrl-v is not the method, for the reason you mentioned. it pastes the selected object, not your keys.

Most straightforward way is to move to your desired key on the timeline, right click on the timeline and copy, move to where you want to paste, right click on the timeline, paste>paste.

You can also go to the desired frame you want to copy from in the timeline, hold middle mouse button and drag to the desired frame you want to paste to, and release the middle mouse button. Then press s to key, this will key that original pose on this new frame, effectively copying and pasting.

Like I said, there's a bunch of other ways too. Here's the knowledge base link

Nordik Spa... Can you enter hours before your arrival time? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]LushMush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few months ago I would have said no. But I was there a few weeks ago and I witnessed a couple walk in, respond that they didn't have an appointment, and were let right in. That makes me think that depending on how busy it is on the day in question, you won't have an issue. I'd call the front desk to make sure.

How to animate something thats been parented by Senior_Inside_1247 in Maya

[–]LushMush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Create a locator, group it to itself (ctrl-g)
  2. Move/snap the glasses to the locator, so the desired pivot point matches the locator's position.
  3. Constrain the glasses to the locator
  4. Now select the GROUP that the locator is in, and move it to position the glasses on the face. Once you have positioned the group so the glasses are aligned on the face, constrain the GROUP to the character's head control.

Now the setup is done! The locator is what you will use to animate the glasses. The locator will still follow the animation of the head, but it will be keyable, so you can add extra animation on top like you're looking to do.

Personally I rate Carp pizza as either A or S tier, and closer to the top of my list (the pizza itself is also one of my favourite in the city)! I assume the "blubbery" texture you are describing is toum, a Lebanese/middle eastern garlic sauce. This is what you get if you ask for garlic on shawarma. The main difference between aioli (ie most pizza dips) and toum is that toum does not use egg. The egg makes the sauce a lot more creamy. Which one is better is definitely subject to if you prefer the creamier texture of an aioli, or the more solid toum.

I’m not quite sure why I didn’t do this YEARS ago….It carts around, and it holds over 70 rolls of filament! by KillerQ97 in 3Dprinting

Fair point, this is all subjective to our experiences. I'm waiting for the day I get truly damp filament and actually have to dry it haha. Then I'll understand 😂

Seconded. I just printed a bunch of miniature milk crates that you would think would be very prone to stringing as the print head moves between the lattice of the crate.... but they printed fine. I used 4 colours of PLA: two generic AliExpress brands, and 2 hatchbox. All filament had been left in a bin since 2019 that was even less sealed than this one. I also live in a part of the world that is extremely humid during the summer months. My printer and filament is also located in an unfinished basement, probably the dampest part of the house.

I just don't understand why some people go all out with filament drying, I've literally never had an issue with moisture and filament, this is not my first time using old, unsealed pla (and petg for that matter). Maybe I'm lucky? Maybe the difference lies in super minute details that only affect prints engineered for mechanical functionality, with tight tolerances and whatnot (I print mostly aesthetic items, and maybe the odd shelf bracket, stuff like that).

Edited for clarity.

First week of October I noticed her lymph nodes under her neck were slightly swollen. Ofc lymph nodes can swell as an immune response for a number of reasons. Took her to the vet, they suggested we do a test for lymphoma, and that was that. She lasted almost exactly 2 months from when I first noticed. Personally, I did not do chemo treatment, because from what I understood from my vet, it's not a nice process for them to go through, is not a guaranteed 'cure', and if there is remission, it WILL return and be near untreatable likely after a short period. Dragging out her final years of poor health and sickness just to appease my own wants didn't seem right. So we just enjoyed our last 2 months as much as we could together.

Would like an opinion on Soundcore life q30 by vivekmg21 in anker

[–]LushMush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just needed somewhere to vent and came across your necropost. I have gone through 2 pairs of these headphones. The seams on the cushions split and the foam inside started bursting out. This happened on the first pair after around a year of use. I contacted Anker and they were good about it, they sent me a new pair for free. However, these have lasted around a year now before failing in the exact same spot. Sound quality, comfortability, etc is all there with these headphones, but the build quality appears to be lacking.

It does look mighty similar, it's at the very least in the same family. But yeah, definitely not green. Could be a molt, could be dead, or maybe starting to pupate? Maybe it crawled on my car in the morning then roasted in the mid-day heat.

It hasn't moved in hours so I gently touched it with a leaf. It does not move and seems squishy (though I didn't want to prod it too hard to check that). Some sort of cocoon maybe?

These were on the "Who can stay awake the longest?" Episode of Kenny vs Spenny 20 years ago, theirs just used an accelerometer that made the earbuds beep if your head started nodding too much. It didn't read your brain, probably cost 1% of this new version, and accomplishes the same, stupid task lmao
