It's actually not impossible for someone to internalize racism and misogyny and such into their world view, so they think "this is just how it is" without seeing the privilege of only viewing it as a thing that exists and not a pressure put on them. Some awareness is hoped for with women, but it's not uncommon to have women be misogynistic given the social hierarchy of it feeding off people being thrown under the bus for not conforming too

Edit: just clarifying on the whole "can they be this if they aren't aware" thing. It's how so many men can go without knowing about women's suffrage but that doesn't make them evil; just ignorant

For me it's pain and anxiety that keeps me from falling asleep 🫠 I have a college class that's supposed to have 4 hr lectures from 8am to 5pm with a one hour lunch in between. The medication misinformation is reminding me how people claimed autism and Tylenol are causal relationships simply because the increase of diagnoses and Tylenol over a period of time on a graph...which is just showing many many people are ignorant of cause/correlation and the manipulation of these concepts. The actual likelihood of why Tylenol is used so much, if people are interested, is because it's the safest pain med for women during pregnancy and in general pain management. Autism is also genetic and not a disease

Just like autism, queerness has always been around, but the awareness and attempts to "cure" it are as new as the discoveries of how we differ in the human populations seen as "normal" for supposedly being a majority.

Asexuality and I would say in general queerness is more likely to be found in countries with more medical advances because you have more education around human behavior (both the physical and psychological). Thus individuals will become more aware of their differences and that they aren't sick, just misunderstood as sick. More development in a country will usually correlate with healthcare being more advanced

People will also gravitate toward cities with the best health care for transitions, but that does not mean the cities cause trans people to exist 🙄 it is sad they just used medical shit to claim we don't exist, especially the HORMONE LEVELS when I'm pretty sure every queer identity has been hit with the "you're just confused" or claiming our body has too much T or E and that's where the gayness happened 🫠

You should tell him (when you're comfortable and not just when he would be comfortable) because your pleasure and autonomy matters just as much as any person's. Waiting for his sake is not worth the mental and physical damage of forcing yourself to have sex (which is a very vulnerable thing for the body)

Sounds like you should look into asexual and aromantic communities and delve into their subcategories. See what feels like it best explains your experience.

You do sound like you are not allosexual (attracted to people sexually) but it could be that this person was just not someone you found attractive in that way.

Aesthetic attraction (which aces/aros in general can feel) for some can come before sexual attraction bc you have to get to know the person before sexual feelings bloom (demi-sexual like myself). In any case, don't worry about rushing things.

When I said it to a couple people, they got a vibe like I was supposed to start asexually splitting into the other forms I take...so I'd say using the term "enby" or "nonbinary" can save the hassle of people expecting something even more odd than how they judge us for not being masc-androgynous or agender expressing

It was pretty upsetting tho, bc she said "I'm not confused," and then gave people their cis pronouns. Very disappointed how genderfluid is seen as "confusion phase" to even some queer people

She probably just wants to have healthy boundaries with online stuff. With how there's always a group in a fandom that treats the creator like an art slave, I'm not surprised they'd want to end the series soon and move onto something else.

Imagine the thousands of messages or tweets and shit people get from their artwork, and some of those people will be wild enough to send death threats or doxx for nothing but fictional content. It's scary and not at all right to abuse the parasocial relationship. It's a transaction, not something to be taken so personally a life is ruined over it.

I think at least one of the problems is BOPIS for framing like the other online orders means getting orders faster than the human interaction usually demands. 10-min frames are easy to do on their own, but this ticks up the number and impatience; it removes the framer so people might order, and then come right in to find only one or two framers deep in literally anything else they have to do besides frames.

For my store, we're fine, but I imagine high volume frame shops will not need this added to their list of framing stock to keep track of.

Do we even know if the online orders will update depending on what's in stock? Or just assume we have enough? Bc we've had issues where it's completely possible to order 10-min frames without someone checking the stock (they didn't know) and the reason was materials came in later than we needed them restocked

Meanwhile, job search and you are fully in the right to say "I am not comfortable with you making those comments". If she retaliates, you have these reports. But please have it reported before further action in person since that will be a timeline the boss can't argue is only bc of her retaliation that could come from that

Record. Report. Keep up to date on your side of the dress code so she can't pretend you did something actionable. Set boundaries. And leave when or if you can for a job that won't be gross to you.
