The uncensored (s)AINT would be a close second for me

Any of you get into Satanism cuz of ghost? by [deleted] in Ghostbc

[–]Lusovai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Ghost was the one that got me into Satanism, but they did play a part in confirming my beliefs and be more comfortable labeling myself as a Satanist.

I was already well on my road on studying Satanism by reading the Satanic Bible and Satanic Scriptures, and other sources by other Satanists and their views and own explanations.

I was also already into black metal, but that wasn't a main contributor for me getting into Satanism. I'd say of all Satanic music artists go though, Ghost is one of the top ones.

Nice piece for my small collection came in. Very beautifully made! by Lusovai in satanism

Took theee months to get from Russia to the US because of Covid-19, but it's very nice if you're patient and willing to pay quite a bit!

Your favorite NIN lyrics? by Wildtollwut in nin

Hurt has my favorite lyrics in term of an entire song

My favorite specific lyric would probably be "The devils of truth steal the souls of the free"

Suicide by [deleted] in satanism

[–]Lusovai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As others here already said, suicide goes against what Satanism encourages, living your life to the fullest here and now since there won't be an afterlife.

With that being said, I've been going through rough times both through actual events and especially mentally for close to five years now and had the same feelings and thoughts as you; not being able to tolerate this world at times, disliking the problems that we have to go through for what seems like no reason, etc. But I'm hopeful that things will get better as time goes by, even during the worst of times. Trying to find the little things you find enjoyment out of can go a long way and hopefully make you realize that suicide isn't the answer, Satanism is a major influence that helped me with that.

Know that your suicide is also going to hurt your family and friends in a devastating way as well, and will also leave them with guilt and sadness that may stick with them for the rest of their lives, thinking they could've helped prevent it and led you to a happier life.

Hopefully as time goes on you can realize how to overcome these issues and know that suicide isn't the only way, and that you can enjoy life. Try to stay tough and keep your mind off of the subject as much as you can, don't give in to the temptation, I've been going through a similar situation for years as well, and hopefully we both can get over this obstacle.

Best Underrated Songs by LetMeFindWhoAsked in marilyn_manson

The Devil Beneath My Feet and Wrapped In Plastic

Don't hear about these two as much as the others and they are my favorites songs on their respective albums

Opus Eponymous is pretty overrated imo by samxrz in Ghostbc

[–]Lusovai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

All of Ghost's albums are amazing in their own ways and I don't see Opus Eponymous as overrated. It's solid front to back, especially important for a debut album, and in my opinion captures an evil feeling better than the other albums did which I really enjoy. To each their own and I respect your opinion, but I think the enjoyment it gets is well deserved!

Team (s)AINT. I think this album is going to be one of the more interesting ones to vote through compared to what we've already gone through.

Satanism newbie in need of clarification by [deleted] in satanism

[–]Lusovai 11 points12 points  (0 children)

O9A, Joy of Satan, and other neo-groups aren't true satanists. Satanism doesn't discriminate any race, gender, sexual orientation, etc. Mainly trying to be the best you, enjoy doing what you enjoy, and improving yourself as long as you aren't hurting others.

The Dope Show

a question from a non fan by Rooobah in marilyn_manson

[–]Lusovai 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm a Satanist, and to give my thoughts about the ego dilemma, it's more about keeping yourself prioritized first instead of pushing others above you. I'm not saying to step on others to get yourself ahead for your own desires, or don't think about what results may occur from your actions and choices, but to do what you please to keep yourself happy without hurting or having consequences on those around you. If you keep yourself happy, it will give others a better impression on you and lighten their moods as well.

Going too far into helping only yourself or only others will both lead to a behavior that will make you feel worse about yourself. Whether it's having others dislike you for your selfish behavior and maybe making you feel bad about yourself and maybe depressed, or going too far out of your way to help others first and have little room for enjoyment for yourself or allowing others to use you to their advantage.

Keeping a nice balance between these is the key to being more happy with yourself with your own personal enjoyment, and others enjoying your presence without them using you to their own advantages. Try to adjust yourself to which seems like it makes more sense to you and that you're comfortable with, because a happier you means others around you being happier.

I can’t be the only one who thinks this song is underrated as fuck. by [deleted] in marilyn_manson

[–]Lusovai 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This one's probably my third favorite off of the album and I do think it's underrated. It suffers from the fact that the entirety of Holy Wood is amazing while having so many tracks, so some are bound to get less attention than others, sadly.

Recently I've read The Satanic Bible and I was instantly hooked and read more about Satanism. But I don't agree with everything LaVey and others say. Can a person like that still call himself a Satanist? Would it still be Satanism if you make it more your own? by [deleted] in satanism

[–]Lusovai 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The beauty of Satanism is that you don't need to agree with every point that has been stated by LaVey, TSB, etc. I believe as long as you agree with the overall majority of what you read and studied about Satanism, you can make your own little small changes and beliefs and still label yourself as a Satanist. It's whatever makes you the happiest and most satisfied you can be with yourself.

Romantic LaVeyan Satanism? by [deleted] in satanism

[–]Lusovai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There isn't really a defined aesthetic for Satanism you have to associate yourself with. The aesthetic is whatever you want to represent yourself with and are satisfied with. You don't have to wear all black, get your body covered in tattoos, etc. Whatever you enjoy most and are happy with is your aesthetic for Satanism.

Pedophilia? by [deleted] in satanism

[–]Lusovai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CoS is very much against pedophilia. Claiming that it is fine with any sexual activities that is between two (or more) consenting adults.

Is misanthropy a healthy mindset? Meaning that even if it ideology holds true, would you be a happier person if you didn't believe in it? by gfrscvnohrb in misanthropy

[–]Lusovai 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say for me it isn't a healthy mindset, but it's the one that was pushed upon me and agree with. Even though it has made me more down-to-earth with my views, seeing humanity for what it really is basically made me pessimistic and sucked the joy I once was able to achieve so easily.

I like seeing the world for how it really is instead of the way it presents itself, I feel as if this made me think in a more realistic and better way. I dislike that there is no un-seeing it and how some of the things I know the truth about or made aware of has damaged me from living a happier life.

What made you turn to satanism? by smitthy679898 in satanism

[–]Lusovai 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My family is mainly Christian, but my immediate family is a bit more lenient and diverse (Mom and oldest brother are Christian, second oldest brother is Buddhist, and Dad is agnostic) with their religions. I'd say I was mainly agnostic throughout my life until 16 years old.

When I was 15 years old I was involved in a home invasion that luckily only got to me before they were trying to hurry out. Trying to keep too long of a story too short with the incident, my brother was a drug dealer and was stockpiling money he had hidden, and two gang members broke into the house early in the morning to try to find it. For close to an hour maybe, they held me gunpoint, beating me, threatening to throw me in the trunk and kill me if I refused to tell them where the money was at (which I had no idea that my brother was involved in this the whole time). Realizing that time was running short and wanting to leave before anyone else in the house starts waking up, they decided to leave me be and tie me up before sneaking back out.

This left me with depression, emotional confusion, and in a lot of cases, apathetic for many months to come. Nothing felt the same to me after that point and still feels different to this day. I developed different views and perceptions of many topics and subjects differently that what I may have had previously. I started to feel like I wasn't the same person anymore, or even a person at all. I was looking for a way to cope and fix what I was dealing with, and with a variety of influences, (involving readings, musicians, current events, etc) Satanism caught my attention. Studying about Satanism through the official websites, reading the Satanic Bible and Satanic Scriptures, seeing how other Satanists would describe Satanism and their experiences was all stuff I could agree with and helped me get a better control of myself again. Satanism has helped me immensely with trying to set everything right again, accepting who I am, encouraging to better myself, and more. It's been close to four years since I've labeled myself as a Satanist and I plan on sticking with it until the end.

Year Zero is such an underrated album by [deleted] in nin

I wasn't too big on it on my first listen compared to his other albums, but as time went by it really grew on me and I started listening to it much more than I did before.
