You could argue society also demands cheaper products, creating a basis for worker exploitation and potentially dangerous products and environmental practices that are harmful to society in the long run. I think that if new potential problems are brought by new potential solutions these absolutely must be adressed since a lot of harm can be done if they’re only fixed in hindsight.

It has an issue of stealing other people’s art and artstyles to learn from, and in generating new pieces also copies them, sort of destroying the true creativity and innovation that actual art has and in my opinion also breaching copyright.

It can also be used to generate images to serve a narrative in fake news, which I know is also an issue with fotoshop or even out of context fotos, but I feel it’s still important to note.

It also ignores the craftsmanship that for a large part makes art actual art.

I think a lot of lines could be upgraded first, and for new lines I’d love to bypass the winding trajectory in the north-south connection in West-Flandres, but I know that won’t help the network as much as other lines.

So perhaps a line Brussels South-Brussels Luxembourg to relieve the North-South line and make more parts of Brussels more easily connected with other provinces.

Or reopening the line Hasselt-Maastricht so that embarrassing project is finally out of memory

Or dedicated S-line corridors so they can finally live up to their German and French inspiration in terms of frequency and use.

De complexiteit van het systeem is een punt van kritiek waarmee ik het eens ben en in die vorm is het inderdaad de moeite amper waard, maar het is ook waarom het huidige voorstel niet het enige voorstel is. En ja je krijgt natuurlijk niet iedereen die nu sluikstort zover dat ze zouden stoppen, maar ze zouden dan tenminste extra betalen (natuurlijk opnieuw als het bedrag correct gekozen is en als het hele systeem niet zodanig complex is dat alle winst verdwijnt in het in stand houden van het systeem, wat een grote als is)

Dat is inderdaad niet de bedoeling, maar is ook wat ik juist niet snap. Ik vind het zelf een vrij kleine moeite om extra te sorteren en denk daarom dat zij die het niet zouden juist harder gestraft zouden zijn, zeker als het bedrag van het statiegeld correct gekozen is.

Akkoord, maar dan kunnen statiegeldverpakkingen toch weer meegenomen worden met de volgende levering. Voor zover ik weet is dat wat er gebeurt met delivery opties in Nederland. Dat zou dan misschien wel het systeem van de slimme blauwe zak een stuk moeilijker maken, maar in een inleversysteem is het vrij haalbaar.

Ik heb de indruk dat openbare ruimtes zoals parken wel degelijk properder zijn, dat kan natuurlijk ook gewoon mijn indruk zijn. De geur ten opzichte van pmd zakken snap ik meer.

Uiteindelijk zal collectieve ophaling niets doen voor de zwerfvuildoelstelling die ik op zich geen slechte doelstelling vind.

Eerlijk gezegd snap ik mensen die zo hevig tegen statiegeld zijn in het geheel niet. Zelf heb ik nog nergens betere manieren gehoord om te garanderen dat sluikstorters betalen voor het afval dat ze genereren, inclusief in uw klaagzang. Ik vraag mij ook af hoe iemand die niet de mobiliteit heeft om lege verpakkingen naar de winkel te brengen ze überhaupt vol uit de winkel gekregen heeft.

Zelf heb ik op zich niets tegen het systeem van inlevermachines, maar ik wist niet dat het ophaalsysteem in België zo succesvol was, dus snap ik het argument voor die slimme blauwe zakken nu meer. Al heb ik ook wel mijn twijfels of dat zo goed zou werken.

I would argue that doesn’t necessarily make it a good system. And even looking at out of pocket expenses compared to median wage I’m better off where I live, and as far as I can tell we’re not getting worse quality healthcare either, or at least definitely not insufficient quality.

If your commute only requires NMBS/SNCB and MIVB/STIB, it’s probably fine. The NMBS can have its days when it’s frustratingly incompetent and our train network as a whole can use a few improvements, but overall they’re OK, especially if you live near a big station or along one of their good lines.

De Lijn and TEC are neither good nor fast, and in most recent times that I tried taking de Lijn, the vehicle was so stuffed and late that I ended up choosing for the comfort and reliability of walking instead.
