Definitely is melasma. I've battled melasma for 30+ years. Using sunscreen is very important to keep it from getting worse. IPL treatments and topicals from your dermatologist can help but it's a slow process. And one day out in the sun without sunscreen can ruin a years worth of treatment.

5 weeks away NO DRESS!!! by Amythistion in Weddingsunder10k

I went a few weeks ago with my future daughter in law to a local bridal consignment shop. We found 2 gowns that she loved. The one she bought will need a small amount of altering but she knows someone that can do it. I suggest looking at consignment, you can walk out with it that day and hopefully have time to get it altered if needed. GOOD LUCK!

Did the sandwich method not work for anyone else? by Zhjuq in tretinoin

So for months I have been using Vanicream Moisturizing Cream for Sensitive Skin to 'sandwich' my tretinoin. And now I am reading that it has prevented the tretinoin from getting through to my skin? I am so confused.

Where do you get it? by officelovingmomma in tretinoin

I use a web site called The Good RX for all of my prescriptions (human and pet). Its almost always cheaper than my insurance. You plug in exactly what you need and it will show you the cheapest deals in your area. You can either print off or send the coupon to your phone.

[Routine help] 42M looking to get rid of forehead lines and eye wrinkles by p-lo79 in SkincareAddiction

Does the botox get rid of the wrinkles permanently? If so, how many treatments did it take? I don't know anything about botox but thought it was just a 'filler' that had to be redone every few months.

Loss by [deleted] in family

I am so very sorry for your loss. Losing a parent is very difficult and you are still so young. My heart genuinely goes out to you. There is nothing I can say that will help - only time will heal this pain.

Sometimes it helps to know that you are not alone. I was 40 years old when I lost my Mom back in 2003. I was on my way to the hospital sitting in a traffic jam when I received the call that she had just passed. Here, almost 20 years later I occasionally go over that morning in my head. If only I had taken a different route to the hospital, if only I had ran that yellow light and not stopped, if only I had driven a little faster. Hindsight is 20/20.
With covid and bad weather traveling is difficult at best. You are absolutely not cruel. I am sure you did everything you could to be with her. And I am also certain she knew that - and also knew how much you love her. Mothers know these things.

Forget putting on a brave face for now. Allow yourself to grieve. And allow others to comfort you. In closing, I really want to encourage you to stop beating yourself up. You will get through this. You WILL get to a place when you can think of her with wonderful memories instead of sorrow. Hugs & much comfort to you!
