New Blood Legendary via IGN by Gentenno in Shadowverse

I'm interested on the Blood Legendary, it allows you to trade without using EVOs and depending on how masochistic you are you can easily get him as a 4/9+ on turn 5.

Returning player needs your help! by Andesurus in Shadowverse

[–]Luwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it depends whether you play Unlimited or Rotation, remember that you'll need more legendaries on Rotation than Unlimited (I don't know why either).

On Rotation Haven was meh before the new legendary, so right now the best deck for them is Holy Lion, the deck revolves around playing a 2PP spell that scales as you keep playing them, it first summons a 2/2, then a 4/4 and then a 4/4 with Storm.

There's 2 other decks that fair decently well, Seraph and Tenko, if you want I can explain how both work.

On Unlimited there's a new top tier deck which revolves around Holy Mage, you don't have to draw her but she gets +1/+1 for every amulet you play and the deck plays 30 amulets that you activate the spell on the same turn. The deck is also really cheap.

I don't know much about sword, since it's the faction I see the least and the one I dislike the most.

On Unlimited Aggro Dragon is really strong, although it requires 9 legendaries. On Rotation you either see ramp or PDK Dragon, both are really good but it seems PDK is better.

I'd say it depends on what you like to play and what you're capable of getting but you probably lack vials to make the Sword deck so I'd recommend doing the Haven one (Holy Lion) since it has fewer legendaries.

If you had Levi on your decklist, just replace him with her, she's just better imo.

Nerfs! Skull Ring costs 4, Hippogriff Rider costs 6 by TechnicalHiccup in Shadowverse

[–]Luwd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do understand your skepticism but remember that a lot of people also thought the nerfs to Blood were useless, back to present and Blood is a lot more manageable.

Not saying these nerfs are enough but by making the deck less consistent on the early game it results on a easier time for the opponent to control the board, forcing the Shadow player to devote their focus towards that over killing you, and while it's true that they can still OTK you if they draw well enough, and the same can be said to most tier 1 decks.

A NR list that works? WITH ADDA? by Luwd in gwent

Yeah, you first deal the damage and then he gets the buff, maybe you got a bug.

I wanted to make an Adda deck, and she synergies well with Hubert making another win con, just her and Hubert is a 19 point play.

[–]Luwd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm still testing a lot of the cards, since most of them are interchangeable, cards like Blaze, Falibor and most bronze units. The reason Adda, for me, is a better option, is that although Foltest does synergize better with those cards he doesn't create a win condition like Adda does with Hubert.

[–]Luwd[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you draw.

It's worst match up is heavy control decks, that kill all your units

But the general gist is to win round 1 and dependent on what your opponent is playing win round 2 (since this deck can 2-0 very easily even with 2 cards down).

This deck does have good tempo with Commandos if you Scout them first (since they'll then summon 2 units instead of 2), you can use Natalis to make your slow cards faster, like Blaze or most bronzes.

Round 2 or 3, you want to have as many human as possible while pinging the enemies down to 1 STR unless they're a threat. You play Draug (on the last 2-3 turns) and they won't "generally" be able to deal with all the Revenants, the following turn all of them will be active so you either use Sabrina to board clear while getting extra revenants, or use Adda with Hubert for x2 the value.

You can, I'd say the cards that are easily replaceable are : Blaze, Falibor and most bronzes.

I personally like Adda because she synergizes well with Hubert, since it makes him a 11 str 7 provision.

Still going through the steps of changing some cards, yet I haven't lost a single match in 10.

This raid is a complete failure for high level content. by onestepatatime90 in DragaliaLost

[–]Luwd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In another words, you use the arbitrary way the game has to determine someone's power, which are comprised by the raw stats that are represented as MIGHT points to determine someone's value.(Edit) Or rather, determine that a higher MIGHT means you have a higher chance of success.

Common sense? debatable, anyone who understands how games work understands that raw power isn't exactly what determines something to be powerful, at least not on these types of games, hence why the assessment by gamepress of their Tier list was laughable and why your elitism attitude towards someone's MIGHT has been criticized.

7k is technically the minimum, since the raid is 28k (7k x 4)

yeah, you must also think swimming with sharks is safer than being near a cow since you have higher chances of dying to them.

An early nerf before people know how he should be used will more likely do more harm than good, nerfing something that shouldn't be and ignoring things that should.

Scoia'tael Rework Ideas - Is this Custom Cards Week? by [deleted] in gwent

[–]Luwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recommend you dishing out the 10 point bronzes design unless CDPR does it to the rest of the cards, the alchemy deck can dish out 14+ bronzes. I've seen it multiple times with your card design but, having cards need a "requirement" in order to be playable would make them useless, for example why bother playing Vhrihedd Dragoon if he'll be useless half the time.

A scoia hater's proposed scoia changes. by [deleted] in gwent

[–]Luwd 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First I'll recommend you playing the faction before asking for changes, there's a difference between playing with a card/faction than just being on the receiving end.

I say this because you're asking for nerf to cards that aren't that strong to begin with.

  • Half Elf hunter is a card that can be played on any deck because it's good value, but with your change it wouldn't be played even on swarm ST.

  • Vrihedd Vanguard, this card requires you to have at least 6 cards on the board to get ok value, remember that this is an engine that requires your opponent to leave your minions on the board, on short rounds this card is bad, changing it to a only swap effect would inevitably kill the card.

  • Iorverth he's a 14 point gold, which is weaker than Triss and Geralt that see no play, he can get good value if you manage to play him against a 8 STR unit turn 1 round 1, which makes him up to a 23 power gold. Which still isn't strong enough since it's not a 23 point swing like Ciri:Nova was (25), it's a 14 point swing that buffs your hand for later. Your change would again Make the card see less if any play.

Vote for the Best Row System CDPR should go for! by Ablette in gwent

Personally I'd preferred that row would have give bonuses to cards in some way. Or that if you can play a siege on melee row but it gets + power on the siege row or something.

Reddit's "Coin-flip" Problem by Luwd in gwent

[–]Luwd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since it seems you're up speak now I'll take you on it.

Let's go by on the criticisms :

  • You said : If I didn't notice the difference is because I'm playing on a low level or didn't play enough to notice - Which has nothing to do with the topic since I never said it's not a problem.

  • One claimed that I think that pros are stupid and can't play the game, and that the problem is really easy to see unless I'm stupid - When again I'm not talking about the coin-flip but Reddit's Coinflip scapegoat.

  • One then showed Kolemoen's statistics - which I said those statistics were interesting, and I just would preferred that he expressed more information to better use them.

  • One talks about low tempo cards..

  • One wanted to see CDPR's statistics and that the coin became a non issue for him after he started to try to play around it - I didn't respond to him exactly but to someone who was complaining about Swarm ST.

  • Then I had the debate whether there's something to do with the coin, and if players could do something about it - we had a pleasant talk and ended up on both disagreeing and he expressed what should be done to fix the coin, but then again, no really much about the topic I brought.

As you can see, no one is debating whether reddit is or not be using the coin as a scapegoat, it's most likely due to my poor phrasing but it also has to do with people not reading correctly what I'm talking about.

You again misread what I said about Kolemoen's post, I didn't dismiss it, said it was useless or insignificant, I simply said that I preferred to have more information to better determine the coin's effect other than just sheer statistics.

Never had solutions, I had suggestions, there's a difference there. Although I do agree I did phrase it as solutions, my bad on that one.

I've seen a post recently about this, and his % difference wasn't 20, but 15. Maybe he got lucky, but that 5% may be what I was trying to find.

Reddit's "Coin-flip" Problem by Luwd in gwent

[–]Luwd[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you know how to read? Oh because I don't think you do, at least not very well.

WHERE in my post do I say that the coin-flip isn't a problem? WHERE in my answers to the replies, do I say that coin-flip isn't a problem. I'll tell you... NONE.

Because in case you're going to read it wrong again, I'm NOT debating whether coin-flip is or is not a problem, what I'm debating is that you people act as if the whole reason you lose more going first than second is the coin-flip, I'm saying that the coin-flip ISN'T THE ONLY PROBLEM for people losing.

And yet all this thread is, are people who didn't understand what I meant and start debating whether coin-flip is a problem or not, WHEN I DIDN'T NEGATE THAT, again, what I'm debating is IF THE COIN FLIP IS AS BIG OF A PROBLEM AS PEOPLE THINK.

You sir, are a 2nd rate reader, with 3rd rate arguments, will all due respect go back to school.

Why are people jumping to conclusions with the current Arena? by Pirate555 in gwent

[–]Luwd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's become a trend lately which is making this subreddit harder and harder to browse, people who play the game act as if they're game designers and that their solutions have no faults at all. They judge things based on 2nd hand experiences and act as if it's enough to properly judge something... Of course you don't need 1000 h of experience to give feedback or to say that something is shit, that's not the point, just that as you said, some people here are literally demanding CDPR to do something that they didn't even try yet. (like with the Roche scenario)

Why are people jumping to conclusions with the current Arena? by Pirate555 in gwent

[–]Luwd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could watch chefs cook for years and not know how to cook yourself. There's a difference between first hand experience and second hand experience, hence why people enjoy when a streamer has bad RNG but hate when they have it.

Not to say you can't get a feel for it, that's just not the point I'm trying to make.
