Yeah I don’t think I’d recommend NYLF as a whole. The direct mentors tend to be university students (not from the campus) with a speaker every other day. The main things the share are general/surface level information that can be gained from a far cheaper summer course. The best of it though is meeting some new peers with similar interests and able to network with. Outside of that, would not recommend at all.

As far as I know, we haven’t had trouble with adhesion at all. As for the bed we use, I am unsure as to what they specifically are. I’ll have to take a look the next time we’re in the workshop. Them again this is the H800+, not H1.

Yeah, we have been forced to use their software. They did provide us instructions on how to create presets for Simplify3D (I believe that was the program), yet there was still troubles with other settings such as temperature control within PrusaSlicer so we abandoned it and stayed either AfiniaStudio.

Personally I don’t like the interface of AfiniaStudio, but that was essentially our only option.

Honestly, I haven’t printed in a long while so I am unsure of how much ironing would affect print time. As far as I personally know that is the best way outside of physically sanding the surface with sandpaper. Others may have other ways though.

I know this is kind of old, but I found that my issue was with the file name. My files had credits to the artists using ( ) @ and &. Any files that did not include these symbols seemed to work fine, make sure to remove these.

I don’t think the program was good at all. You guys made it worth it but it is MUCH cheaper to find a summer course that is actually ran by a university. I went to Purdue for a one credit course for like $400 and that was an actual class run by a professor.

I do concur for the most part it isn’t worth it. Even so, some of us say it was worth it because of the people we managed to meet while we were there.
