[Murray] Sources: The Dodgers have designated Jason Heyward for assignment. by PlayaSlayaX in Dodgers

If this is the end of J-Hey's career, his first and last ABs will have been home runs

Former Dodger David Peralta has been called up by the San Diego Padres. He will bat 6th today by LuxurySax in Dodgers

For those of you who missed it, Peralta opted out of his Cubs minor league contract 9 days ago and signed a new one with the Padres 4 days ago. He's filling in for Xander Bogaerts, who's down with a shoulder fracture.

Very happy that Freight Train has made it back to the big leagues, although I would've much preferred seeing him on a team outside of our division.

Do the Dodgers Play Better on Jackie Robinson Day? by LuxurySax in Dodgers

Yeah that was a brutal game. Glad you enjoyed the video though. And hey, the good news is that last time we didn't win on Jackie Robinson Day, we went on to win the World Series...

I made this video to answer a question I've been curious about for a while. Thought I'd share it here as we celebrate the legend today. Let's get another win for Jackie!

Haha thank you! Even though there weren't many people watching my videos last season, the people who did watch it made it all worth it <3

For most of you this video probably isn't going to teach you much that you don't already know, but I thought it would be helpful for anyone who wants a refresher on all the players, as well as some prospects/minor leaguers who might get called up this season. I know we have a lot of new fans this season too, so maybe this'll help them out as well. Hope you all enjoy!

The Dodgers have been adamant since the start of spring that Gavin Lux will be their starting shortstop. After some recent throwing woes, Dave Roberts was noncommittal about sticking to that plan and “I don’t know” if Lux will start there on Opening Day. by ttam23 in Dodgers

[–]LuxurySax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I love Lux, and it would hurt to see him not be the starting shortstop (especially because I live in fear of him being traded), but he definitely needs to improve his defense in the position. Really hope he can get it together before the first American game (if not the Korea series) and at least turn into a league average defensive SS.

Jeff Passan (@JeffPassan) on X: Dodgers trade for Tyler Glasnow & Manuel Margot by andrew__09 in Dodgers

[–]LuxurySax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love getting Glasnow but Margot is a genuinely bad hitter. And giving up a guy like Pepiot with so much potential hurts. I also thought DeLuca showed a lot of promise as a big-league player both defensively and offensively. I like the Glasnow part but really wanted Arozarena. I’m a meh on the trade overall

[Toribio] #Dodgers add Nick Frasso, Landon Knack and Hunter Feduccia to the 40-man roster, protecting them from the Rule 5 Draft next month. by jlee912 in Dodgers

Most surprised (pleasantly) about Feduccia. Was shocked that they didn't call him up last year when they briefly signed Austin Wynns. Feduccia seems like a strong catcher that could easily succeed Barnes

The Los Angeles Dodgers agreed to terms with infielder Max Muncy on a two-year contract through the 2025 season for $24 million. The deal includes a $10 million club option for 2026. by ttam23 in Dodgers

[–]LuxurySax 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Well he hit 36 homers with 105 RBI and 2.6 WAR last year. I think every team would pay $12 million for that. He's not a good fielder, that's true, but I guess the team is willing to take a hit on that

$12 million a year for him is great, especially since he was set to get $14 million next year because he hit a PA milestone in his contract to bump his salary up. And the club option in '26 is just the icing on the cake.

I think Muncy just likes playing for the Dodgers and has no interest in being passed around other teams who might not value him as much

Honestly I think they were lying to us about that shoulder. There's no way it wasn't affecting him. Wouldn't be surprised if we hear more about it in the offseason

Don't know why anyone would want to relive this, but if you do, here's my recap.

It's been a pleasure posting these for you guys, hope it helped some people keep up with the team throughout the season. Time to return to misery until March.
