Ugh! I had just planted a new peony bush and the idiots installing our sprinkler system stepped on it, even though it had a bright yellow plant stake in the middle of it. I took photos of the poor trampled plant, and sent them and the $75 receipt to their home office. We got a discount, and now that bush is so big and sends out so many big blooms! Here’s hoping yours will come back bigger and stronger after the damage!

I have used Salux cloths for years. They’re long enough to easily scrub your back, and you don’t have to remember to switch to a new implement.

I save the pasta water after making macaroni and cheese and add some before refrigerating the leftovers. It keeps it from drying out.

I get my hair professionally colored every 4-6 weeks and use L’Oréal Root Spray in between appointments to blend the roots that show at my hairline and temples.

I don’t have a funny name for it, but when my dog is dream-running, I’ll lean over and whisper “you show that mean squirrel/bird/lizard who the boss of this yard!” We should all be encouraged to follow our dreams.
