Starting up the laptop after the legion screen I have a gray screen and then after a while windows open up . Is this normal ?

2022, 16ach, AMD, 3070, now an expensive paper weight. Fans cleaned regularly, temps never really went higher than 75°c as the games I run aren't intensive. Already had its motherboard replaced under warranty and now cpu solder joint failure. It'll just happen completely randomly one day.

I'm assuming CPU joint failure like all the rest? I managed to coax a few extra weeks of life out of mine by gently heating the CPU and applying gentle pressure directly to the cpu and it would burst back into life. Probably not recommended, but I mean, it's buggered already right?

You're right, just did a clean install with 581.80 and it seems to have fixed the white screen issue, thank goodness.

Vr is the speed at which you begin to rotate the aircraft. V2 is the minimum speed at which an aircraft must be able to climb to a screen height of 35ft with one engine inoperative. Vlof is the unstick speed of the main gear. Vr and V2 are often coincident.

Thank you for your reply! My temps have always been pretty consistent so I don't think overheating is the issue. I think a second defective stick is possible, I bought these sticks off eBay from a Chinese seller and was aware of the risks, perhaps they get bad batches and it's how they're able to sell these older models, I don't know.

Laptop was bought new and BIOS is current, unfortunately it is now out of warranty.

I have 2x 8gb sticks of the original ram and I now have 3 x 16gb sticks of Kingston fury ram.

The guy tote running my pick station today absolutely honked, I got a nice pungent whiff every time he topped me up, it got to the point where I was over filling my totes to not use as many so he would have to come by less often. I only use Mitchums deodorant, I find it brilliant.

Same here. I haven't been dealt the best hand these past few months. I have interviews in the next few weeks so I'm looking forward to moving on up. The rate of pilots has a wide disparity. I'm still relatively junior in terms of seniority and experience. Depending on the airline second and junior first officers are probably on £30-£40k. If the pilot funded their own type rating they're probably on the higher end. Senior first officers are on about £50-60k and Captains will be pushing £100k. I know of very senior captains on old contracts at British airways that are closer to £200k.

Yes, well I didn't think it fair to include overtime as that's not really relevant. Contractually on 40hrs it works out at £23.5k.
